Montcalm Royal London House, London City

Had room 910, handy for rooftop bar, lovely room,a great place to relax. Staff were friendly, room was immaculate, food and drinks were excellent and the whole vibe was relaxing.

We were on the roof top enjoying a drink and food and we were asked to move inside because the gueats had arrived for our table. 1) the was NO reserved sign and 2) we were not told about until this point. However, we still had an excellent time. Just a heads up would have been nice.

The staff were exceptional, very helpful and polite. Rooms were clean with nice crisp bedlinen. Plenty of choice for breakfast from the buffet and you can Oder hot choices from the menu.

A very minor observation-the milk in the rooms is vile!!

Everything about it was positive! Staff helpful and friendly. A clean spacious room with fantastic air conditioning. Great breakfast. Reception staff very helpful. Location was good. Tube station within walking distance. Shops, markets , bars and restaurants within walking distance.

We were unable to get a table at the roof top bar on 2 occasions. The first time was ever so busy with non residents having made bookings therefore hotel guests had no room to sit ! Apparently hotel guests don’t have priority as it is run independently. 2nd attempt to sit at the roof top bar was again impossible as there was a yoga class going on! This was disappointing as the reason this hotel appealed to us was for being able to sit on the roof top on a lovely summers day/evening.
