First of all an important note: you must bring your id with picture which is either a passport or driving license to check in. Even if you are a local traveller. Room was very good, spotless clean and sound proof was good too , did not hear a sound from the Main Street which was just out my window. was upgraded to studio room and the kitchen was enough for a short stay and simple meals, With microwave, electric pods and a sink, all appliances clean and included. Location good, ten mins walk from St Paul’s cathedral and business area, and just next door from Barbican centre. Couple of Cafes nearby, Pizza express and a pub just by the corner. However if you need to commute to King’s Cross or Euston by bus you need to walk 16 minutes to the next few clocks, or take uber. Points that need improvement: the front staff were pretty young and maybe need more training when interacting with guests. There was confusion in logging on WiFi as I was asked to scan the QR code on a wooden block in the room. The receptjon said we need it for wifi. Turned out it was just advertisement for the ascot hotel group, it has nothing to do with wifi. You can get connection just as fine by searching thru the settings of your device. They were just asked to ask the guests to look at the ads via the QR code. I think she is confused herself (about why She needs to ask guests to scan that wooden block) Second issue: white guests are treated better in some cases by an Indian/pakistani girl. After we checked out we asked to store our luggage at the hotel store room which was ok, but the Indian /pakistani reception would not serve us. She kept passing the tags to us to DIY (do it ourselves) and again refused to take our luggage to the room. When it’s time to take back the luggage I am again asked to take it out ourselves, I could have gotten someone else’s suitcase but this Indian/pakistani girl won’t care, she just won’t touch our suitcases and even complained to her colleague about us asking her to do it … is this the new trend in hotel industry? Anyway But for the French white lady who stored her luggage after me, she did not have to lift a finger. Everything was done for her by the same bespectacled girl . We were not rude or anything, the suitcase was not gigantic it’s just the smallest case for a day trip, the main reason was I am just not born white ..so if you are Asian like me, practice to Tag your luggage and you’ll be ok. 一切都好，只是亞洲人要自己存行李，掛紙帶，印巴藉前台拒絕服務，仲同同事投訴我哋要佢入房拎行李。她打開儲物室不肯動手，一直叫我拿，我隨便可以拎任何人的行李，其他人也可以拿走你的，她不理。白人的東西她才拿。Citadines 對法國同胞的優待？不得而知。 部屋はいいだけど、帰るの前に、インドのスタッフはレイシズム(racism)でした--私の荷物は自分で(DIY)預けりました。私はアジア人です。でも、私のあとのフランスのお客様(女の音楽家)は、同じのインドのスタッフは荷物を持ちましょう。お客様は白人たら、サービス最高！ 인도인 직원은 프랑스 손님의 짐만 보관해 줍니다. 아시아 손님은 직접 짐을 보관해야 합니다.

I chose this hotel primarily for its gym and location. I ended up not using the gym (it is very small and inadequate for my training regimen), but the public transport options made my stay absolutely easy. They don’t have daily house keeping service for short stays, which I don’t mind, as I normally don’t prefer it anyway. The room was already so clean when I checked in that it didn’t need keeping :) The staff was very helpful for my early check in and late checkout. I will definitely come back! P.s.: The breakfast they offer is definitely not worth the price. They have amazing breakfast / brunch restaurants (Turkish-owned, so imagine the delicious menu) within walking distance that charge much less. Just check them out on the map and you’d be fine.

The facilities are fine. its a hotel apartment. However my check in experience was poor due to staff members making a huge song and dance at 14:52 that the check in was at 15:00 and I'd have to sign up to the loyalty programme to check in early (and then checking me in anyway when I refused - why the fuss!?). The check-out experience was also poor. I needed a VAT receipt and the lady at the desk flat out refused to provide one as "she couldn't find the button in the system". She took my email and promised to send it to me. Instead, she signed me up to their mailing list and did not send the VAT receipt. 3 e-mails to the hotel later, I still don't have it
