An unique place to stay

Our apartment was quirky, but absolutely perfect. Spacious, very well equipped, beautiful - we loved it. Highland Club is an extraordinary place to stay - the beautiful park with old trees and playground, direct access to Loch Ness, the pool in the former chapel - it's beyond gorgeous. Slots at the pool have to be pre-booked, which makes absolute sense - otherwise it would be too crowded. Everything seems well thought of.

Only thing worth mentioning is that the doors are really heavy and can't be held open. We wanted to be able to hear the kids in case they needed us at night, so we blocked them as well as possible, but sometimes they would slam shut. No biggie and definitely manageable ;-)

For two adult couples,this property is not ideal.the reason is that the second bedroom is not acceptable for the price they charge.Also the extractor fan can run far to long and needs an isolating swtich

A lovely stay on Lochness

Roomy, comfortable apartment in a beautiful old abbey right on Lochness. Great kitchen, dining and large lounge room . Beautiful quality linen on the beds. We enjoyed the swimming pool and spa. A 2 minute walk into a cute town with numerous resturants and right near the lochness tour boats. Only negative was finding reception Its was not near the first parking lot even though it was signposted as such. Best to have your phone ready to ring.

Spacious, fixtures and towels good quality inc toiletries. Overall a very good accommodation and the staff responded efficiently to our queries

The 2nd bedroom had no storage for clothes, no mirror and no dressing table. The screen and dvds was where the double bed was in the 2nd bedroom, so 4 adults couldn't watch the screen. Only 4 dinner plates and not enough knives and forks.

Amazing find on the shores of Loch Ness

The building itself was spectacular, a great setting. Convenient for the facilities in Fort Augustus, an amazing find for a staycation. The apartment was lovely, they had everything we needed on hand. The pool, gym, tennis courts etc were all fantastic, well maintained and spotless. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful

Large, comfortable apartment in a beautiful setting

The large space was great for our family, and the Abbey’s setting is beautiful. The staff was friendly and really responsive. I only wish we’d had more than 3 days to spend in this idyllic setting. We’ll definitely return.

This property is very unique and interesting. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful. Walkable to downtown Fort Augusts and abbey is located on Loch Ness.

Second bedroom was really a loft over the kitchen, not an entirely separate room. It would have been nice if the pool hours were more open and didn't need to be scheduled - the scheduling system made it less convenient to access.

A bit fawlty towers…….

The original property and abbey are beautiful. The location at the base of Loch Ness is special, though there’s not much going on or available in the adjacent town of Fort Augustus. Some of the shared facilities are very nice - the pool (for which you need a booking!?), the games room, the giant chess and the outdoor kids playing area.

The apartment was strange, an unsympathetic renovation, large but very pokey, it was however clean and with the inclusions listed. The check in process is challenging and convoluted. I’ve never had so much repetitive paperwork to read to check into an apartment or hotel. Zero follow up on a specific issue we experienced. Very disappointing is the on-site restaurant - The Boathouse - despite being in a glorious location it was the worst food we’ve ever had at very expensive prices. Definitely not befitting this property. Try the Bothy pub in town instead.

Beautiful historic building on the shores of Loch Ness. Home from home apartment, exceptional & needs for nothing. Great access for cycling routes close by, Loch ness 360 trail is epic & a huge challenge. After an active day, it is perfect to come home to this. We have already booked our return trip before we left. The scenery and setting and tranquility of this property should not be understated, its on another level to most. Highly recommended.

Liked everything about the place. Apartment is well located and has all the facilities you could ask for. The pool and sauna were great. Very nice grounds and location and close to local town with loads of lovely restaurants within 2 mins walk Would recommend to everyone.

Inspiring experience

I'm not sure if I should recommend the classrooms. If people discover how special this is, it could get very crowded and prices could rise sharply. I'll say it anyway: this is the most amazing apartment I've ever stayed in. No doubt. It's worth every pound. We'll be back.

Comfortable and Spacious Apartment in Ideal Location

Perfect location for exploring the Highlands and surrounding area. The apartment was lovely; very clean and nicely furnished. With two bathrooms, a well proportioned kitchen/dinner and lounge there was plenty of room for our family of four.

The Highland Club facilities were very good, with a pool, small steam room / sauna and gym however the issue was the booking system. As spaces for the facilities were limited there was a very unfriendly booking system to be used. The system was very clunky to use and not user friendly at all.
