Our apartment, Abbey Church 4, was one of the most unique properties we’ve ever stayed in - complete with stained glass windows over the dining room and your own stone spiral staircase. The property had everything we needed for a large family to be comfortable, plus wonderful little welcome bags for each of the kids.

This is the most satisfying hotel apartment I've stayed in during my entire trip to the UK. The hotel is located in a monastery in Fort Augustus in the Highlands. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a full range of household items.
It's a 10-minute walk from the hotel entrance to the small town. On one side of the town's main road is the famous Loch Ness, and on the other side, there are bars, restaurants, convenience stores and gas stations, which can basically meet the material needs for short to medium-term vacations.
The entire hotel is surrounded by distant mountains and lakes, quiet and warm, making it a great place to relax. However, you might feel a bit frustrated when carrying large suitcases up the stairs on foot. Yes, there is no elevator in the entire hotel, so you need to be prepared for that.
In addition, the check-out policy is 11 o'clock, but my credit card was charged 25 pounds at around 9 am on the check-out day, and I don't know the reason.

This was more an experience than a location. The building and gardens are full of amazing history and we felt like we were living a peaceful and relaxing time as locals to Fort Augustus.
As a family we played sports and used the entire facility however the tennis court was a little dirty and very slippery so we decided this was not a safe option to use during the stay.
