Next to a forest, it was a great location to go for a walk after a long drive. There is a great restaurant next door also.

Another enjoyable stay at the Waldhotel

Have stayed here many times, always very clean and comfortable rooms and common areas. Very good breakfast.

Unfortunately the price per night is too high for what is provided.

Breakfast was good, staff super friendly.

There was neither water cooker, nor fridge in the room. Wifi range was really had in our room. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom (but a bathtub) so everything got wet while showering, even carefully. There is a big potential in this hotel, but it hasn't been used by far.

A very average stay.

The staff were very nice. The bed was comfortable and the room had a balcony.

There was no coffee machine in the room, or any 'pantry' areas on any floor where you could get a drink in the morning. Instead, there was a machine for dispensing beer or cola, but this only took money and no card payments. The bathroom had no shower screen around the bath so it was easy to flood the room. But luckily the shower was just too weak for much water to go anywhere. The TV was a simple one with just a few German channels, nothing like a smart tv with casting ability. Breakfast was simple with no options for vegans, but the staff ensured that it didn't run out.

Location is nice, altho we just used it as a pas through to Switzerland, it was perfect for this.

The room itself was not bad, the bathroom could use some attention tho for example the ventilation shaft didnt had any cover.

Good, basic hotel with good food.

Nice, comfortable room with a good shower and balcony. There’s a reasonably priced restaurant on site for an evening meal and separate room for breakfast, which was ok. Parking is free in the huge car park and check in was simple. Very peaceful at night.

Disappointing

The breakfast was very simpel. And the breakfast is till 9 o'clock! The deal we booked was inclusive breakfast. But the moment we want to checkout the person at the reception said that breakfast was not including. We had to pay (extra) for the breakfast. The person of the reception did not speak Englisch, only German. He denied that is was impossible to book a room with breakfast. Even when we changed the room confirmation from Booking.com in the German language. The moment I tried to call the police, he changed his mind and let us go without paying for the breakfast.

Good hotel to for a pit-stop. Reasonable price / quality

Good hotel for a pit-stop for 1 night when you visit the south of Germany or further. Nothing speacial but overall good beds and breakfast. Location near the forrest is more in the name. Is just at the outskirts of Mainz. (15 min drive to the city centre)

Coffee was terrible during the breakfast (not the best coffeemachine/beans).

The bathroom was strange, it would deserve an update, or at least a curtain for the bathtub. Otherwise fine.

Exceptional

Excellent service, great staff, we were late so our key was at receptiin and we can durectly go to our room. Hotel is in great surroondings and it is really easy to get there. We was coming from main train station and bus lines no 80 and 68 went directly to the hotel. Very romantic place. We also like cada in bathroom which is not usually in hotels.

Clean place, Warmful staff. A Little bit far from the station but ok.

One of the neighbors had let his dog in the room. The dog was barking when it heards someone walking in the corridor.
