Fairly expensive for the facilities but good breakfast.

The staff were all very pleasant apart from an older woman who was very abrupt. We came back from dinner at 9 and asked to have a drink at the bar and were told twice the bar shut at 10. So we had one and went to the room. The chap at breakfast was a great host and the younger guy was also very pleasant. Food was good when I stayed there 6 weeks p[previously as part of a motorcycle group. Also they did not like Credit / Debit cards.

Bedding and room v clean . Breakfast good but whole experience felt like Fawlty Towers .

staff very officious . We arrived at 7:00 pm one hour after check in and got reprimanded . Cash or debit card only . After breakfast at 10:00 am we stayed on in breakfast room to sort our flight .Thomas (owner's son said we would need to pay extra €30 if we wanted to stay longer sat at the table ). He did capitulate when i said we were trying to sort our flight . Felt like guests were an inconvenience . Not a very welcoming experience .

Excellent place to stay in Cochem

My parents were main guests and they are so glad of their stay that it's even hard to describe. They spent few days there and tried also food in hotel restaurant. They loved everything. Owners and staff were very kind too. Strongly recommend to choose this place for your stay. You won't regret it.

Owners and staff were great and very helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. Room was small but comfortable and had everything I needed. Location was about 10 min walk from the train station and was also easy to get to the main sites in town.

Everything was great! WiFi didn't really work in the room, but that wasn't a bother to me at all.

The room was kept cool & they had a restaurant where the food was pretty good.

There were bees on the terrace - and whilst you cannot fully help this, there are places that have a special thing on the table that keeps them away, that would have been nice. The bathroom was a bit small but good for one night.

The hotel is new and super clean. The owners of the hotel took personal care of the hotel guests. My friend is gluten intolerant. As soon as the owner found out her concerns, he offered her gluten free bread the following mornings. He told us that he took the service of the hotel personal. The location of the hotel is off the busy tourist path, so it is quiet. The location of the hotel is easy to reach by 5 minutes walk from the city center and 10 minutes walk from the train station. The adjacent restaurant offers delicious traditional German food, and the price is reasonable. Cochem is a beautiful, charming city, in our opinion, it is prettier than popular tourist destinations, such as Heidelberg or Salzburg. Staying at the hotel Weinhaus Graefen with the warm welcome from the hotel staff made our vacation even more relaxing. I would stay at the hotel again, when I visit Cochem in the future. Thank you so much to Mr. and Mrs. Vatlav!!

Nice pensionat near historic center

A realy nice pensionat just close to the historic center in Cochem. Clean and comfortable room with a modern bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of various selections. The place have a terrace where you can bring your beer or wine. A typical german reastaurant is at the groundfloor. It is only 100 meter to the cablecar that takes you to a hilltop with great wiev.

Just a small detail - the pillow was to big. But overall that is nothing to complain about.

a well managed inn, clean comfortable and owner really cares for guests. excellent breakfast and food. so close to the chairlift facility which takes you to the hill top for gorgeous view of Cochem. highly recommended
