I loved the area and the house where we stayed

It was nice to stay in the heart of Cochem

I would add to the room some cuttlery like cups for tea and glasses for wine.

Way too expensive and false advertising

The location was nice, but it was false advertising, the rooms looked nothing like online

It was not clean, the doors were not cleaned, the doors didnt close properly. You couldn’t get to the bathroom from within your bedroom, had to get out of the bedroom into another area to get to your own bathroom. Honestly bummer, the place looked nothing like the pictures. The towels were so dry and hard that it hurt my skin. Also there were only two very small towels. No shampoo or shower gel included….

A nice ancient house in the old city center, a good experience with a 420 years old house. Very helpful host, highly recommended

I came in the noon time and was hard to find a free parking lot beside the main roads. I wish if the host can show the car park before arriving, everything would be even more convenient.

fine but not worth it

good location, owner or manager had great tips

the property and room wasn’t quite as expected. Room also didn’t have a sink or anything to get ready. I also forgot something at the property and they didn’t respond to my multiple messages via booking and didn’t pick up the phone. After contacting booking.com the manager told me it wasn’t there, even though it can’t be anywhere else. :(

The hotel is located in a 400-year-old building, which has its own atmosphere. The decor is cozy and it is clean. The location is excellent.

Very old buildings "live", it is quite warm inside and humid. There is no air conditioning. Not very comfortable, soft cushions.

An excellent stay in a charming location! Pension Romantika brings the charm of Cochem indoors!

So happy we chose Pension Romantika for our state in Cochem! The house is over 400 years old and has been lovingly restored to include all modern conveniences (beautifully tiled bathroom) while preserving the architectural details of exposed beams and original half-timbered construction. Owner/manager Florian is committed to making sure that his guests are both comfortable and safe. Due to Covid, the charming cellar is not currently in use, instead a full breakfast that included everything one might want was delivered to our room each morning. We stayed in Room 1, a three-person room on the 1st floor (2nd floor to Americans). The staircase is narrow and winding as one might expect, but Florian insisted on carrying our bags up for us. The location is ideal, on a quiet side street in the historic center of Cochem in walking distance of all the sites, restaurants, shops, buses, and train station. Florian was also incredibly helpful in providing information on the area, restaurant recommendations, etc. It’s not often that one receives such personal service nowadays. Thank you, Florian, for an excellent stay -- we hope to return!

WiFi required repeated login and was spotty in areas, but this was not a big deal. Note that the exterior photo on the site is actually the back of the building; the front entrance to the building is a bit tucked in and harder to spot -- just follow the directions and you'll be fine!

We had a wonderful time exploring Cochem with a cozy room to return to at the end of the day.

The location was great walking distance to the castle, restaurants, etc. We had an extremely accommodating host; he had great recommendations for places to eat or anything we needed help with. He was definitely a welcoming host. Room was spacious and cozy for family of 4. Had everything we need. Good breakfast delivered in the morning.

Good stay, so close to everything but a bit too cold in the winter and not friendly owner

- Nice old-style german house in the city center. - The room is very large and good for 3 persons (1 big double bed and 1 single bed). - Dining table, kitchenette and fridge - So close to the Cochem castle (650 m walk) and 100m to the center. - Parking is possible close the hotel but not clearly mentioned. No need to park at the park house. - Breakfast is included. - One of the cheapest hotels in this region.

- A bit too cold during the night and heater in the bathroom wasn't working. - No elevator. - Check-out time is quite early and check-in time is limited (known to us). - Manager/owner is not friendly.

Fijn, schoon en gezellig pension op een centrale locatie voor een goede prijs

Wij kregen een gratis upgrade naar een appartement. Deze was heel ruim, sfeervol en schoon. De locatie was op een paar 100 meter van het centrum.

Wij zaten op de bovenste verdieping. Er was maar 1 vluchtweg en dat was de trap naar beneden. De pittoreske romantische foto van het pension op booking komt niet overeen met de werkelijkheid.

Kühlfach im Kühlschrank hat gefehlt, wurde aber beworben. TV war zu KLEIN. Fenster hatten nur eine Glasscheibe. Schließung war nicht möglich. Haustür konnte nur mir Schlüssel beim Verlassen geschlossen werden.

Op deze manier wordt het erg onpersoonlijk. Wat ik moeilijk vond was de douchecabine. De vloer was glad en als ik eruit ging, kon ik me nergens aan vast houden. Maar het is wel een douchecabine met hoge instap, dus er is een zeker valrisico.
