Winnemuller is a Winner!

The location was ideal, Close to everything and 2 minutes from each of the two best restaurants. The bed and linens were the most comfortable of our whole month in Europe! Our host was responsive, coming to check the heating and bring fresh towels within 5 minutes of the request. It was just lovely. Make sure you choose Penaion Winnemuller.

Perfect highly recommended

The property was in a great location right in the centre, but not too far in the centre you are affected by the noise, in my opinion the location is perfect as it is on the town side of the bridge. It took less than 30 seconds to get into the town. The property itself is beautiful retaining original style and adding a modern twist to make it more comfortable. We were surprised to find a fridge in the cupboard which was perfect owing to the 30° plus temperatures! There was a fun which helped keep the room cool and the blackout curtains made it easy for us to sleep if we could change one thing, it would be for a portable cooler or air-conditioning unit, but they don’t appear to be popular in Germany. We would certainly stay here again especially for the wine festival! The check-in was all done via a safe key lock box which is our preferred option but we did speak to the owner briefly and he was very happy to see us and seemed very kind

Nice place to stay in Cochem

Very convenient location, near cafes and restaurants and close to the castle. The staff was exceptionally polite and helpful, the room was as expected from the photos. We had a generous breakfast in the morning.

The double bed was uncomfortable and the linen could do with an update, it was a bit worn out.

Lovely Guesthouse in Excellent Location

Lovely B & B which was located conveniently close to most places of interest in the Old Town. Very spacious room with comfortable bed and great bathroom. Breakfast is brought to the room every morning by the host who was incredibly attentive and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Cool place to stay

The host was extremely pleasant and helpful. Couldn’t say anything nicer about him.

I won’t blame the hosts, but getting to the hotel with luggage was quite difficult given the lack of parking nearby. To the host’s credit, instructions for where to park were given beforehand.

Nice hotel with a personal touch

Friendly staff, showing lots of hospitality in rooms that are decorated with great taste. Though not immediately next to the Mosel, the rooms nonetheless offer a nice view over the river. The breakfast, served in the rooms, is delicious.

The bathrooms can use some restyling, but do not lack any comfort. The WiFi was not as good as the adolescents in our company would have liked.

Best pension in Cochem

The pension is very well located inside the city close to everything. Our room was very nice, comfortable, clean, and warm. A delicious breakfast was served in our room next day at the time we requested. the breakfast was very good, we had bread, ham, salami, cheese, jam, orange juice, milk, coffee, tea, and more! We really enjoyed it! Our host was really good and always willing to help.

Great family run hotel, with excellent hosts and central to all Cochem has to offer.

Hotel was in a good location to the main area of Cochem, easy reach to shops, restaurants and the main promenade and river. A good climb up to the castle, which was nearby. The host was really helpful and offered suggestions for good local restaurants / bars. The breakfast was excellent, ample continental, and served in your room, nice and relaxing. The room was clean, comfortable, although our view was limited to a view of the street because of the location. The decorations were unique and showed the historical nature of the hotel. Bathroom shower and facilities were excellent and housekeeping was very good.

Lighting in the bedroom was subdued, but pleasant. A bit of a long walk from the train station 15 to 20 minutes, although this did not stop us booking the hotel.

A special place close to everything

Super friendly and nice people, great communication before and during the stay. Room was clean, large and comfy. Special decoration, we liked it. Breakfast in the room, delicious and a plentiful.

Parking is not optimal, you can find pubic parking not too far, eg at the train station Bathroom a bit outdated but charming

Out of the 11 places we stayed, Pension Winnemuller was our all-around favorite!!

We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Pension Winnemuller! Our host was hugely gracious, bringing a generous breakfast to our door at a time convenient to the 2 of us (6 fresh rolls to go with meats and cheeses, the Best fruit spreads, uncommon yogurt flavors (apricot), fresh plums and apples, juice, and more -- truly a feast! Additionally, Pension Winnemuller was the only lodging to offer complimentary Netflix and huge for us because it was a rare chance to watch more than just BBC world news.

Pension Winnemuller is located one street off the main drag, along a section closed to pedestrian traffic from mid-morning until 5 PM. Park along the main road and walk 50 feet -- don't follow Google Maps to the front door. Regarding comments that the rooms are noisy -- once the nearby bar/restaurant closed at 11 PM, the streets cleared quickly and were quiet all night.

An excellent small pension in the heart if Cochem

Perfect breakfast served in the room by the very helpful and excellent host. The Pension could not have a more central and convenient location in the middle of Cochem, clean and cosy.

It can be tricky to find an car parking in the neighborhood in the early afternoons, later it was not any problems to find.

Fantastic stay, friendly hosts, & great location!

The location was perfect, had a friendly welcome on arrival, rooms were cozy & clean, beds were very comfortable, fans were brought to us on request (although the room did stay cooler than we expected since it’s located against the mountain), and price of stay was much more pocket friendly than most other accommodations found in my search. The host did also bring a delicious European style breakfast to our room at the time of our request and it was large & fulfilling!

Inconvenient parking situation—although out of host control & we would have liked the bathroom to be stocked with conditioner & body soap; shampoo was provided in small hotel bottles.

Exceptional

The location was perfect-right in the city center. the view of the Mosel outside our window was spectacular! The staff was welcoming and had our room ready at 10:30 in time for us to refresh after a long flight, and they also let us store our luggage after an early check-our the next morning. The room was quaint, comfortable, and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

I would start with what I liked the most: Our host. He was very friendly, warm-hearted and caring. He answered patiently thousands questions we had to ask and gave us good tips. He was kind enough to provide us with whole wheat bread, when he learned that my partner doesn't like white bread. The location was geat. We had a nice view of the Mosel. The room was clean and comfortable.

Nothing, looking forward to staying at Winnermuller again.
