Barceló Maya Palace - All Inclusive

Our recent stay at Barceló Maya Grand Resort, part of the Barceló Hotel Group, was truly outstanding. We were extremely satisfied overall and would especially recommend this resort to families traveling with children. We stayed in a Junior Suite with Premium Level privileges, accommodating five people comfortably. The space, layout, and overall comfort made it exceptionally family-friendly and easy to settle into for a longer stay. Rooms & Public Areas While the design is more classic than ultra-modern, the entire five-resort complex is impeccably clean and very well maintained. The attention to upkeep across such a large property was reassuring and impressive. Pools & Recreation One of the resort’s strongest highlights is the abundance of large, well-maintained pools spread across all five resorts. The water quality was excellent, and both adults and children thoroughly enjoyed the facilities throughout our stay. Entertainment & Beach Experience Daytime activities, water play, and beach experiences kept the children happily engaged, while evening shows provided enjoyable entertainment for adults as well. The beach itself is beautiful and adds to the resort’s relaxed yet lively atmosphere. Five Resorts in One Stay Staying within a five-resort integrated complex is a major advantage. Although we stayed in one of the higher-tier resorts, we had access to facilities, restaurants, and services across all five properties. This variety ensured that even after nine nights, the experience never felt repetitive. ⸻ Dining Experience 🍽️ Dining was a definite highlight. Guests can enjoy buffets and themed restaurants across the entire complex. During our stay, we experienced: • Brazilian steakhouse • French cuisine • Italian cuisine • Mexican cuisine • Seafood • Japanese teppanyaki Overall quality was consistently good. Our absolute favorite was the Brazilian steakhouse — the beef was tender, flavorful, generously portioned, and expertly prepared.

As a family, we have a tradition of spending Christmas every year at a resort, and this year was no exception. Compared with some of the resorts we have stayed at in the past, we did notice that the Christmas atmosphere at Barceló was relatively understated. Around December 19, there was limited holiday décor and music, and it did not yet feel like the Christmas season. Festive decorations only became more noticeable closer to Christmas Day itself. Initially, our children commented that some previous family-oriented resorts we had visited offered a more immersive Christmas ambiance with stronger décor and holiday spirit. However, as the stay progressed, their perspective changed. By the end of our trip, the children told us they really loved this resort. What won them over was the experience itself — the abundance of water parks, pools, and daily activities kept them entertained and excited every day. There was always something to do, and they genuinely had a great time. We ultimately decided to become members of the Barceló Club, as we truly value the overall quality, scale, and family-friendly experience the resort offers. We sincerely hope that in future Christmas seasons, there will be more festive decorations and earlier holiday ambiance, as this would make an already excellent family experience even more memorable.

Location and beach was very mice

Lack of sail boats , could not get any reserve in all the week Piña colada drink flavor is too artificial, could be better as in other places
