El Dorado Seaside Suites Oceanfront, All & More Inclusive - Adults Only - All inclusive

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Loved the all inclusive shuttle ride, excursions, Bali beds!

Overall we had a really good experience at El Dorado Seaside Suites. The resort was extremely clean, the views were amazing, and the staff was outstanding across the board. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made the stay enjoyable. The resort also offered plenty of activities and amenities, so there was always something to do. The biggest downside was the food, which was a little hit or miss compared to the rest of the experience. We also had some confusion with airport transportation, as we were originally told it would be included, but found out it did not apply from Tulum Airport. Other than those issues, we had a great time and would definitely consider returning. I’d give this resort a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Everything was fine, the staff was courteous and attentive. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The VIP upgrade provided by Expedia as we are Gold did us pretty much nothing. The $100 resort credit is very misleading as we were told when booking an add on to one of our excursions (ATV's) that it could be used for that and come to find out that was not the case. We did not receive any of the $100 credit while there. There seems to be poor communication with what each individual knows as one person would say one thing and the next would say something different. There were large glass doors that separated the area of the elevator and the rooms which were broken and falling. We reported it twice and it was never addressed. A serious safety issue if the glass did fall from the door. 6th floor. You will be offered to take a tour of the property to become a member. We were told it would take 90 minutes and we would get free massages. It took two and a half hours. When booking excursions with our More Inclusive plan, we were not given very much useful information on what we needed to bring or wear and needed to ask several different people before we got any answers. Overall it was fine however we would not stay at this property again. Why? The food... the food was average at best and closer to below average. There were so many times that we ate and the food was unseasoned or just not cooked properly. My wife actually lost weight on the trip. How does that even happen?
