About this house rental

Lovely large house with 2 reception rooms,large kitchen and 2 bathrooms and 7 bedrooms. Outside garden seating area and bbq. Large driveway for up to 4 cars. Please note no hen/stag parties allowed.
My house is ideal for large groups or families (sleeps 18 )wanting to chill out and enjoy the lovely beach with the Sir Antony Gormley statues including walks and cycle rides, West Lancashire Golf Club on the doorstep and a train service with a direct link to Liverpool and Southport every 15 minutes and It's only 20 minute train ride to the city centre. There are many restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance and plenty of shops and bars all close by. The house is on the beach road a stones throw away from our beautiful beach. There is a water sports centre at the Marina with a popular sports centre and restaurant on site.
My house is in a residential area so please keep noise levels down after hours in respect for my neighbours. The house has CCTV fitted externally.

Great location and house has all the space you need for a large group. Unfortunately our stay was spoiled by a broken toilet which meant only one toilet for 11 people and effectively only one shower as the door to the remaining bathroom/ toilet only closed if it was locked. As other guests have mentioned some of the bedroom doors didn’t close and the front bedroom window doesn’t shut properly so it was cold! The broken toilet was symptomatic of the TLC this house needs though it is for sale so perhaps this explains it.It was a bit surprising that the issue with the toilet was only flagged up as we arrived at the property and a plumber only came out the next day- Christmas Eve- and couldn’t fix it.

We are a family group of 15 of various ages. Plenty of room and good layout of bedrooms. The only blip was the cooker and fridge sizes. Everything else was great, clean, comfortable and warm.

Wonderful house for large groups, in an excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the beach. As in the description, the house is in need of some TLC and the outside space lets it down somewhat! However we had a lovely long weekend, plenty of room for all 14 of us and managed to get 5 cars on the drive. Worth it for the size and the location.

Great place to go. The bedrooms are lovely and big - bigger than even the photos show. There are 2 walk-in showers. When we were there, Gill was on the other end of a phone immediately for anything we needed to ask. Helpfully stocked with bin bags, dishwasher tablets, oil, salt, pepper, towels, bed linen, etc. We came with a big group (the full 18 that the house can sleep) and it worked well. When we were altogether in a room (sitting room or dining room), we all fitted in cosily!

A lovely spacious house to stay in for a couple of nights over new year, 9 adults and 4 children and 2 dogs stayed comfortably, with room for 4 cars on the drive, 5 minutes to the beach, all amenities close by

The property was clean, tidy and functional and in a good location to visit Crosby seafront and LIverpool with easy public access. Plenty of clean bedding and towels. However, there are some constructive recommendations below to improve future guest experience: 1. The mattress on the left hand side of the 2nd floor front double bedroom requires replacement as springs sticking through 2. The mattress on the 2nd floor single room requires replacement as the springs are sticking through 3. Front facing windows on the first and second floors do not shut properly which was exasperated as a result of a storm leading to noisy and cold rooms. All the above are easily solved and are suggested to help the property.

I enjoyed the stay but one of the guests left some dresses in the wardrobe and I have sent the host messages but she doesn't answer! JILL PLEASE LOOK AT THE VRBO APP MESSAGES!!! My mother in law is quite upset to lose her dresses and would love to arrange postage with you/payment for your effort. Thanks.

Lovely house. Just a shame we had to come back early. But as we had tiny barbies who need bottles sterilising etc it was impossible with out water. I am waiting for a partial refund due to having to leave early

A great house for a big group. Plenty of rooms and mix of bed arrangements per room to suit our needs. Some of us had issues with poor mattresses in which the springs were very noticeable and uncomfortable. Good kitchen and just about enough equipment. Could do with some mixing bowls and more wire racks in the oven. The outside area was OK, but again was a bit grubby with bird poo and dirt on the garden furniture. The showers seemed to be plumbed in back to front so a danger of being freezing or scalding, luckily the grandkids didn’t use them first. Feels like it could be a great holiday house with a few tweaks and a good fettle,rather than just a good one. The owner very helpful in communicating once I had sent an initial email- didn’t get anything from Vrbo with instructions.

We had a wonderful experience celebrating my 70th birthday. Thankfully it wasn’t deterred by the cleanliness of this property. A deep clean is definitely needed. Also several safety issues need addressing urgently. Locks to bedroom doors and window need keys. surprisingly the outside areas where NOT prepared for any occupancy it was disused not even brushed. Outside furniture was also filthy. The owner jill was however extremely helpful.

11 of us went as a family group there was plenty of space, the bedrooms were very roomy although some of the doors don’t shut. Our initial entry into the drive was a bit daunting as the gates and side gates definitely need sprucing up . The garden was big enough, the kids enjoyed playing out but is another area that needs a bit of sprucing. All in all we had a great time, we all loved the island in the kitchen, the living room was plenty big enough for us all to sit in and it is well placed for the beach.

Nicely decorated. Good bathroom, kitchen looks good but fridge needs new innards - lack of door furniture, means impossible to store milk upright and it leaked all over everything. Needs more crockery and cooking pans etc for 4. Large living room but very dark in evenings - not helped by black rug under the lights. Sofas etc not very comfortable. Also beds not very comfortable.

Rented for a birthday weekend. The House was great for our party. It needs a little tic in places but this did not detract from a wonderful weekend in a very good location, with the Beech a 100 yards away. Definitely worth a return visit.

The house was an excellent size, all the rooms were spacious. We managed with 2 bathrooms but an extra one would have been good. We had a good but short stay and had everything we needed. Could have done with a 'welcome sheet' with wifi code, local amenities and other relevant information on.

Lovely short break close to the beach. Great property for large family with 5 teenagers, plenty of space. Nice courtyard for outside dining and bbq which was great. Few issues with the doors. One bedroom door with what appeared to be broken key, but managed to open. Bathroom door lock very tricky so my daughter avoided. But neither detracted from our stay.
