The property was lovely and welcoming with some beautiful added touches.
The Christmas tree made it feel very homely and it was wonderful clean inside, including a really clean bathroom, kitchen and all the appliances I.e. oven, cookers and fridges.
The cleaning kit provided was great and well presented, along with the bathroom products was also a lovely touch.
A lovely welcome package on arrival with some mini bottles of wine, milk and biscuits was super.
The Wi-Fi really needs improving.
And the exterior of the lodge would benefit from a good clean.

Views and location of this cabin was beautiful.
Found hair in the bedding and poo stains in the toilet on arrival. The hygiene of this place was unacceptable. Limited hot water for shower- couldn't even wash my hair properly. Ended up having a cold shower. Not nice when it's cold outside!

Location was great, lovey view of the lakes, pod was clean, warm with underfloor heating, good kitchen facilities, great complimentary hamper (including bits for the dog) on arrival. Easy to check in, key in key safe and number of passcode text to us on day of arrival
Could have done with shop or bar open.
Toilet / wet room cold.
Need transport to get around as nothing is walkable from Hill of Oaks.

We stayed in the tent and it was great! Loved to be in nature and the place was nice, well kept, and we had everything we needed! Amazing!

We arrived in the evening, so it was a bit dark at first — but the detailed description in the email made it easy to find. We were greeted by friendly staff, and the place was really spacious and spotlessly clean. We were worried it might be cold, but actually the opposite — it was warm and cosy, we didn’t even need to use the fireplace after the first evening 😅.
The kitchen was super well-equipped — everything was there, even bin liners, washing-up liquid, and sponges. There was a washing machine too, though we didn’t need it this time. Most importantly, the beds were really comfy — our whole family slept well.
Just a small caution: the bed is quite high, so if you come with kids, it’s worth using cushions or something similar so they don’t risk a fall.
A bit more lights or bigger sign post at the entrance would be better.

Beautiful log cabin with excellent views. Quiet area everyone we met friendly. Dog friendly
Needed a mop bucket and mop to clean floor due to wet muddy weather.

Great location and really enjoyed walking around the camp too was a really good place.
The only thing was our underfloor heating didn’t work in our pod so it felt cold at night, but wasn’t a big deal as we had plenty warm pjs and blankets.

The lodge is in a great location with views over lake Windermere, the fixtures and fittings are of a good standard, it was well equipped and very clean. It was a very cold November day when we arrived but the heating in the lodge was already on and it was nice and warm. The site is dog friendly with lots of green space, woodland walks and a secure dog field they can run around in.
The WIFI was poor and we thought the check in time of 4pm was late. We were there in November and it was nearly dark when we got checked in. Everything else was very good.

Incredible location right by the lake. Lovely little glamping pod. Had everything you needed. Loved the attention to detail of the welcome pack with little wine bottles, biscuits, tea, coffee etc. Also a small cleaning pack and toiletries. We heard owls calling in the night!

Clean comfortable holiday cottage lovely location with views over the lake. Dog friendly with enclosed dog exercise area. Good value. Well maintained facilities. Easy reach of many tourist attractions.
Only thing the site shop wasn’t open much but it was off season so understandable.

Great value cottage, lovley and modern. Really comfy beds and a good shower. Nice welcome package. Quite a big site, with great views and access to the lake, accommodation is well spread out so didnt feel crammed in.
A few more basics in the kitchen would have been good, like salt and pepper.

Lovely cottage. Beautifully decorated and maintained. Spotlessly clean. Well equipped kitchen, large fridge/freezer, cute outside terrace. Location was perfect for us - quiet and only 5 minutes walk to Windermere.
Generally all was good. The shop opening hours are very limited. It would have been great to have had paddle board/kayak hire available on the site.

I liked some of the staff being helpful and nice.
I liked the nice touches in the property and the clear attempt for it to be clean and welcoming.
I liked that the grounds were well maintained, and of course, the scenery.
I don’t like that you advertise WiFi and then once booked you explain that the WiFi is poor. The WiFi was poor and good for almost nothing so I had to use my mobile data. I don’t believe the excuse of it being a rural areas given that my phone got a half decent signal. You should not be advertising wifi when yours is such poor quality.
I hated the 3rd “bed” you provided. You should not be advertising that accommodation as 3 beds. It was supposed to be a sofa bed but it was terrible at being the bed given that there was a solid spine down the centre and then once slides sloping down. I was given. A mattress topper which helped but the rolling on one side was still a major issue. I was left with a very thin part to try and sleep on. I had some very poor nights sleep and I am not happy about this at all. I told a member of staff and they just apologised.
I gave a not great rating for hygiene even though it was clearly cleaned properly. The reason why is that I could detect a smell or stale urine in the bathroom and a very odd, strong fishy smell, particularly at night. Not sure where that smell came from but this is why I did not give you a good rating for cleanliness. I’m not sure how you would fix this problem as urine and other smells can very hard to get rid of I know.
I also had an issue with the towels not being cleaned. You said this was due to saving water but people can still pay to have them cleaned. Again, this is strange and an excuse, in my opinion, to basically enhance profits.
The two major issues I am not happy at all about were the wifi and the bed.

Apartment was nicely decorated, modern and practical
Shared bathroom had an awful smell to it, couldn’t work out why. Floor didn’t seem very clean, our feet and socks were dirty from walking on it. Also there seem to be a lot of cobwebs and spiders, especially in the staircase

This was a lovely place to stay. Would definitely return to enjoy the Lake District more. Excellent value for money.

It's a great location by the lake and only 10 minutes' drive away from lots of restaurants, and takeaway eateries. It's really nice for walking your dog or walking off evening meals! Cottage was really comfortable and has everything you need.
Our cottage was missing a microwave, but they did warn us in advance, and they did deliver one the following afternoon. We had trouble opening the bathroom window, and the shower screen seemed a bit loose. Also, there were plastic bottles left on the floor in the children's playground. The nearest bin was for dog waste only

Great location. Excellent shower power considering the location and setting. TV and provided basic amenities such as hair dryer kettle iron cutlery and plates.
Very short check in window 4-5pm with no staff available on arrival due to arriving just after 5pm because if traffic issues. Barriers were down at the entrance and no way to get in. They sent instructions via email prior to closing for those who were running late but this relies on the mobile being available and there is very limited signal for any network (if any) so sending this via email is not helpful. Also curious extremely poor WiFi no oven..super tiny fridge for accommodation that is supposed to sleep up to 6 people. Not very secure in terms of valuables as the tent has a padlock but it doesn't stop anyone from getting in so you wouldn't want to take anything valuable. It was over priced £860 + for a tent could have spent it better elsewhere

It was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, beautiful location, great decor and furniture. The lovely welcome pack of wine, coffee, tea milk and biscuits was appreciated. There was a complimentary pack of cleaning products. It was home from home! We will be back.

Location is good, quiet place. Decent size on the rooms.
The property was very dirty and it smelt . Four of us spent around an hour to clean before we started to settle in. A lot of dog hair and all the stuff inside the property smelt bad.

The property was perfect and exceeded expectations
The next morning we had staff barge in front door and one in back door at same time telling us we had to be out ! There was clearly some confusion over checkout times but didn’t like the way they thought they was bouncers and was very intimidating

It was quiet and peaceful very clean and ideal with the dog
Not much space for luggage/clothes except a small hanging rail , shop wasn’t open much found it open on the Tuesday and asked for the opening times and they said it would be open till 2.30pm we got back with the attention of picking up some basics at 1.30pm to find it was closed and wasn’t open again until the Friday the would have been good to see it open each day. Had issues with hot water but staff came within the hr each time to sort it.
