Hill Of Oaks

The location and view was stunning and accessibility to the lake (for those with boats etc) was very good too. The pod was surprisingly roomy and very light and airy. The shower room was a good size and the towels left for our use were of a high quality. There were lots of thoughtful little extras: a welcome pack for guests and one for our dog(!), as well as a washing up pack. and toiltettry pack. Having a tv which could be moved in all directions could be apprciated and the room fragrancer was also a nice touch. It was lovely being able to sit on the decking and benefit from the glass aruond it.

We were expecting much more information for us to read in our pod, particularly about how to get to other parts of the Lake District. Having very poor internet connection was quite a problem with this and other issues like finding places to eat. The sofa was not at all comfortable to sit on. The fridge and freezer box were too small for our needs. Coat hooks in the living area on the shelf unit (for jackets etc) and on the shower room door for wet towels and or clothes would be really helpful. It is always irritating when mirrors have been postioned way too high, making them impossible to be of any use to people short, like me! The little shop and cafe were useful, although when we were there, they were not open as much as we would have liked.

We stayed in glamping pod in Hill of oaks, the area is beautiful! Very relaxing and quiet which is what we really needed! I will surely come back here.

Ideal location on the lake.

The location was fabulous. It was the most peaceful and relaxing holiday with wonderful scenery. We came home feeling totally refreshed and grounded.
