Disappointed we had to take car into Bowness

The room was comfortable.

Room was cold on arrival and was a lot further out of Bowness than we had expected.

It was very clean and really roomy great facilities, very comfortable bed such that I’ve ordered the same mattress 👌🏼😎. Craig is a great host and really helpful we parked at the property early which was great as we went out around bowness which I highly recommend.

Excellent property for a family

The location was very convenient from the town center and the property itself was immaculate

Would have appreciated it if the 2 hr checkout extension till noon was offered at the time of booking or soon after. I got an email on the night of the stay offering the optional extension, which I took. But the next morning it was cancelled, which caused some inconvenience.

Nice place run by unprofessional people

Location and size of the accommodation.

It was one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve ever had. The milk left for us was sour and gave my mother a stomach ache. The place didn’t feel properly cleaned, and the bedding triggered my husband’s hay fever so badly that he sneezed through the night. The low point came the next day. On our way back, the host started sending us messages demanding we return a couple of toilet rolls we had taken for the journey, and even accused us of taking a tiny glass milk bottle worth about 50p. In fact, the sour bottle was already in the kitchen bin. For the price we paid, this kind of shabby, petty behaviour was unbelievable. Overall, the stay left us with nothing but stress and discomfort. Spoilt milk, spoilt night, and a spoilt impression — we would not recommend this place to anyone.

Perfect Lakeland Base HQ

An excellent roomy, modern, well presented, and well kept property. Ideal to use as a base for Lakeland incursions on the local populous. Everything about the facilties at the property were perfect. The host was excellent, friendly, and onhand as required.

Comfortable stay in Bowness area

Clean, comfortable, cosy & well equipped for our short Lake District weekend getaway. Great location too as it only takes 2mins by car to Windermere Lake.

The sofa bed dipped a bit in the middle but manageable nonetheless. A lot of rules/instructions but nothing too serious.

Great little first family holiday for me, my partner and pup!

Pet friendly (goodies for our puppy), great nights stay, very comfortable bed, spacious room, bathroom heated flooring, location 5min walk to Lake Windermere.

The parking numbers needed to be more highlighted as was unsure on which spot to park in, but own assured us that this was in progress of getting re-painted.

We loved our stay at Fair Rigg, its quiet and clean and comfortable we will be booking again :)

We had really comfortable and relaxing stay, the bed was comfy, the kitchen had everything that you would need, we met the host on the day we arrived and he was really friendly and gave us some tips on easy routes into Windermere etc. The property is lovely and clean. Our dog loved the treat pack and we thought that was a really nice touch, also the essentials like milk in the fridge for your arrival were really nice.

Place is nice and clean. Good facility. Close to the lake. Happy overall. Even the sofa bed was comfortable enough although wouldn't recommend using it more than couple of nights. Glad there was extra duvet and sheets.

Not a big deal but wish the kitchen was a bit bigger or had more counter top area.
