Dinning room carpet needs a good clean, and Dinning room fire place wall needs a good coat of paint as its obviously had water damage, apart from that i would 💯 recommend.

Cosy cottage in the perfect location to explore all Bowness on Windermere has to offer.

Amazing location - so close to the lakes and cruises etc but also amongst the shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs Bowness has to offer. Despite its central location the property was quiet and peaceful. The parking space was very useful as parking spaces are limited in the area. Spacious bedrooms - with ample space for 5 guests to sleep comfortably.

There were issues upon arrival as there had been a mistake and the property had not been cleaned and there were no clean towels or bedding. There was a smell of damp - especially downstairs and the decor could do with updating.

Location with proximity to the lake was excellent.

The property was damp, the living room smelt musty, the key to the front door was really hard to turn and open, if I had been on my own I wouldn’t have got in. Noise in the front twin bedroom from the pubs over the road, arrived on a Sunday and music was playing late. Sent two messages one days before arrival and received no reply from the holiday company who looks after the property.

All in all very good, a well equipped cottage in a great location. Would definitely book again.

The location was perfect, and having a parking space was a bonus.

The hall looked a little tired, and the shower didn't drain well.

Having to pick up keys from their office. Really bad and lazy of owner. Why can't the owner just put a lockbox directly at the property? A guest should not have to pick up keys from an office at a different location just to enter the property they are staying at half a mile away, especially if they are elderly or have disabilities. Common sense people? Also, when I dropped the keys off, the office staff are sat there twiddling their thumbs and look at you like you're a pest interrupting their peace. Oh the annoyance of customers, right? (sarc). Complimentary tea and coffee with sugar and milk pots wouldn't be asking too much right after spending so much to stay at your place? We saw that many guests complained about this in the Guest Book. Some requests were years old, obviously they are not listened to/appreciated. Tea/coffee provision is like a default feature of all holiday homes, B&B's and hotels and with the expense paid, it was disappointing to net be given refreshments upon arrival. Be aware that the oven there requires you to first push the knobs inwardly to allow gas to flow. There was no mention of this anywhere in their guide book.

Lovely place

Very nice location, lovely property, spatiouse, good quality furniture, quiet, very close to all amednities.

Could do with some freshing up in certain areas but nothing major. Toilet role provided but not enough. All toiletries you need to come with them. Nice touch in the kitched with the dish waser tablets, new sponge and teatowells.

Excellent place for visit lakes!

Place is perfect. you can walk through city and lakes. Especially someone has kids, when they feel tired you can back cottage anytime. There has lovely kitchen,wash machine and dryer, dishes washing machine, everything in there. Cottage is very quick warmed very comfortable.

Toilet and shower room quite disappointing, because when you use shower, all toilet floor will dump…

Plenty room, plenty storage, lots of equipment in kitchen, location was excellent, parking space great.

Living room could maybe be better, sofa wasn’t comfortable and carpet didn’t quite smell fresh

Enjoyable with our friends, but several things let us down

The location is superb and the parking space is a bonus.

When we were there in March, we pointed out a couple of issues, one of which was rectified i.e. a new carpet replacing the badly stained one in the bedroom. However light in sitting room had only one bulb working still the same , bulbs hadn't been replaced. 1 toilet roll for 4 people …. Not good enough Looking at dates and rates for next year, Sadly with those prices , we wont rebook as we feel it is totally unjustified.

Beautiful place. Nice and Clean. We really enjoyed the trip. They had lots of cutlery we could use.

It was really nice. It was clean. Nothing we did not like. Maybe if there had been some basics like milk for tea would have been nice as we got there late but thats such a small thing.

Good location and quiet but needs an update

The outdoor porch, shower quiet and good location. Bedroom furniture was decent and kitchen well stocked.

The place really smelled badly of dog. The armchair was so bad we had to out a towel over it to reduce it. We left the front door open all evening to reduce it. The fridge had missing parts so milk fell out. Dustbins hadn’t been emptied and the toilet smelled of urine when the door was closed . Might be wooden seat . Ot wod have been nice to have some tea, milk and salt Nd peppar on arrival

Not clean, no communication.

Location was brilliant

Communication was terrible with staff. Emailed to say the accommodation wasn't clean. Glass on the kitchen floor, dog hair in the lounge, someone else's razor left in the bedroom drawer. The car park is small so not suitable for a big car.

Location was fabulous and the parking space was good.

This property disappointed me a little as we stay in bowness 2/3 times a year and we have never paid as much as we did to stay here. The facility’s were very minimal, there wasn’t any complementary tea bags/coffee etc (which we’ve received at every other accommodation for less money) there wasn’t enough toilet roll provided and there wasn’t enough towels provided. Communication from the host was absolutely nonexistent, they didn’t reply to any messages and to top if off, on the last day the toilet blocked so severely we had to leave the property early and use the communal facilities down by the lake which obviously was not convenient. Also just a little note incase anyone is wondering- we had 2 cars and my Range Rover didn’t fit in the space so bare in mind if you have a big car.
