Tower Cottage Far Sawrey Windermere

Stunning peaceful location with great views. Well equipped and lovely inside.

Noise from the water heater/boiler throughout the night.

I gave 😀 for the hosts but we did not meet them. However I know they will have been nice because of their offers to help if we needed it. This cottage could not have been more perfect. It was away from everything and everyone, set back and secluded. A perfect place to relax, unwind and forget the pressures of life. It had everything we needed and more. The dishwasher was a real luxury. Loved the views from every window, the sound of the birds, the sheep, the sound of the breeze through the trees. We enjoyed watching the bunnies on the hillside and on the lawn. The bed was really comfy and I had the best sleeps. (I’m not a good sleeper usually.). There are some lovely walks on the doorstep.

Going home.

The views and situation. The spectacular views are doing a little of heavy lifting for this otherwise rather tired and underprivisioned house. Certainly far from luxurious as promised by description and price!

Very tired property - needs refurbishment and decoration Little or no luxury feel despite luxury price No decent toiletries Welcome pack was just a few kitchen essentials Tatty and in some areas not even clean Very disappointed as expecting so much more than just the view - which was amazing, by the way!
