Just what we needed to catch up with friends and some good family time.

What a fantastic property. I was just what we needed. The unit is set above the main house and has its own upstairs section so everyone has their own privacy. Two bedrooms (one with an attached children's room) are set on the main level with the kitchen and lounge and then it has an additional two bedrooms upstairs. Full equipped with all you may need. Hosts were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to assist us esp. when our car broke down.

It did not bother us but it is important to note that the garden is shared with the owners private home and not accessible directly from the rental unit itself but rather from the driveway and down the side of the house. However it is a most beautiful garden and has great seating and eating areas.

Delightful week

Very friendly, kind and helpful owners. Lock up space for bikes. Plenty of space in the house. Our grandchildren enjoyed a lovely Easter Egg Hunt in the garden. Excellent centre for exploring the Vlaamse Ardennen on bikes and Brussels, Gent and Bruges.

No wash-hand basins in the loos.

Fantastisch verblijf gehad!

Fantastisch verblijf gehad! Zeer vriendelijke en zeer gastvrije eigenaars die ons bij aankomst een rondleiding gaven en doorheen het weekend klaarstonden om te helpen waar nodig! Prachtig verblijf, kraaknet, zeer ruim, zalige kamers en bedden, zeer goed onderhouden. En dan nog een prachtige tuin en buitenveranda waar we de hele avond ook mochten vertoeven! Ruime parking ook. Dit adresje is 1 van de beste waar ik ooit logeerde. Locatie dicht bij Muur van Geraardsbergen, ideaal voor fietsers/wandelaars (en onze fietsen mochten overnachten in hun garage). Wij komen zeker terug!

Goed, maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar met kleine kinderen en babies

Een zeer mooie en ruime tuin en ruime kamers. Zeer vriendelijke hosts, ook flexibel. (wij mochten iets later uitchecken met de 2 babies

het volledige huis was in feite enkel de 2 bovenste verdiepingen van een villa. De hosts verbleven zelf op de benedenverdieping. Wij moesten dus telkens de trap af en om het huis om de tuin te bereiken en vanzelfsprekend moest de 3-jarige kleinzoon ook telkens begeleid worden. Het tuinhuis met kitchenette oogde zeer chic, maar er was geen stromend water en geen toilet en dus ook weer telkens de wandeling naar de bovenverdieping aan de andere kant van het huis.

Prachtige, gerieflijke villa voor middelgrote groepen.

Het "huisje" was eigenlijk de bovenste verdiepingen van een ruime villa. Het was goed uitgerust, zelfs met airco op bepaalde kamers. Er waren in totaal 3 badkamers en 3 toiletten, wat wel handig is voor grote groepen. De tuin is ook heel mooi onderhouden en deze mochten we ook vrij gebruiken; er is zelfs een "poolhouse" met een keuken en ontspanningsruimte en barbecue aanwezig, vrij te gebruiken voor gasten. Dichtbij was een goede bakker en er zijn verschillende winkels makkelijk bereikbaar met de wagen. De hosts waren supervriendelijk en behulpzaam; aangename mensen. De ligging is handig voor een bezoek aan De Gavers en de muur (en het centrum) van Geraardsbergen.

De locatie langs een steenweg was uiteindelijk wat teleurstellend; er zijn niet echt wandelroutes die in de directe omgeving beginnen. Klein minpuntje: de grote borden passen niet in de vaatwas, dus die moesten met de hand afgewassen worden.
