Comfy bed, good location, sadly wouldn't go back...

The location was great, close to lots of restaurants and the bed was huge and very comfy. The shower although dark is a good size with lots of hot water.

The 'kitchen' had a ridiculously heavy lid that you had to remove everything from to use and then pull up a tap to get water, very unorthodox and a bit wonky. There are cleaning products though. There was no matching anything (cups, glasses etc) and the cups weren't clean! The tv didn't work, I suspect it was the batteries in the remote that were dented. Thankfully I wasn't there to watch tv. I had to chase the owner for access codes at 3pm on the day of arrival. The property has wooden floors so you can hear everyone in the building and unluckily for me I had upstairs neighbours who were up until 2am. The only light in the bathroom is around the mirror, which means that when you close the shower curtain the shower is dark! I used the first floor studio solo and don't think it would work for two people. Finally, the stairs are very steep and narrow. Which wasn't much fun with a small carry on case.

Lovely spot in Gent

This was a lovely apartment with a huge bathroom, a nicely supplied kitchenette in the living room space. It was very centrally located for all attractions. Take the T4 tram to and from Sint-Pieters station it's just around the corner.

You need to be aware that the steps going up to the rooms are very narrow and quite steep so if you're older or have a big luggage, you will find it difficult. We did not mind, but had to be careful. The other thing is you have to time it correctly as there is no reception and we arrived early, but we're fortunate to get in and not have to sit and wait with our luggage. Could not get the TV to work, but that was not an issue we didn't need it. It would be nice to have a couch rather than a bed in that room, but I think the pullout couch was broken. There's a lightbulb missing beside the lamp on the bed side. Just a few small maintenance things but otherwise it was lovely.

Amazing location. Can walk to downtown shopping and good in under 10 minutes, literally around the corner from amazing restaurants, the number 4 tram to train station and a laundromat. 2 small grocery stores and the number 2 tram are short walks.

It was extremely dirty despite its great location.

The place was very dirty. It hadn’t even been vacuumed, and we felt dust everywhere we touched. It seems they don’t care about hygiene at all, probably because of the good location.

Need for a light

Room with a small kitchen to cook something and have breakfast (table and chair of course at disposal). Considering these things, the room has enough space. Two big windows to enlight the space.

Small bathroom, with no possibilities of hang the towels inside. The only light comes from the mirror and if you pull the courtain of the shower, the shower is completely dark. An additional light is highly recommended.

Excellent, Anyelina is charming! As a host, the apartment is very comfortable, with perfect light from the windows. Super clean in 6 days. Look at Angelina cleaning daily! It's truly a place to return to, and most importantly, it's close to everything. Around the corner, you have all the restaurants, the OKay supermarket, and Carrefour, and it's right in the center of the city. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic location and lovely apartments close to all of Ghent

Fantastic location, really well maintained rooms, very comfortable beds. The place was clean and tidy from top to bottom. No complaints about the accommodation itself at all.

The check in process was unclear. We were told that the check in codes would arrive on the day of our stay. I messaged the manager 2 days before our check in asking for the codes, to no response. I tried again 4 times on the day of our stay to no response. Eventually my call was answered but by that time we were outside the property. There was a language barrier and it was just all a bit awkward. In future I think it would be helpful for the codes to be sent at a pre-determined time so there is no confusion.

The property is still under some renovation but did not affect our stay. The host was lovely, helpful and welcoming. Only thing I didn’t like was there were no pillows on the bed so used the big cushions with a towel over them.

Great location. Plenty of space for 3 people for a short stay. Apartment was decorated nicely.

Property was damp and smelly with silverfish in the bedrooms. The bathroom was damp, dark and dingy with the only lighting being around the mirror. This made it difficult to shower. The compact kitchen layout didn’t make sense- there was a counter that had plug sockets for the kettle and coffee maker. This had to be put in an upright position to use the sink and hob, meaning the counter had to be cleared first. Hair dryer sounded like it would explode at any minute. Only 7 clothes hangers for 3 people. Door to apartment could only be locked from the outside.

Overall it was comfy and good

It was compact and clean apartment with keyless entry and nearby main locations. It is nearby Gravensteen castle and also near the city center. Tram no 1 directly goes to the castle from the train station so you can just walk after that.

Stairs are a bit small in size so it might be difficult when carrying big luggage. The ceilings are not well insulated it seems as someone walking on above floors creates a lot of noise and might distract you from sleeping. Good thing in our case it only happened once during the day.

Good location but rather impersonal stay

Good location, central, but not too busy. Pretty comfortable bed.

In the end, it comes down to the question "Would you come back?". I won't. In my perception, it's too expensive (€ 120 euro) for the accommodation and service delivered. Cleanliness could be better, sheets smelled not fresh, the room could use a bit more care, the room quickly gets hot. These are small things but in general I miss a welcoming touch, it feels like a room that needs to generate income.

Location is excellent - a few minutes from the castle and river, as well as restaurants within seconds of the apartment. Approx. 10-15 minute walk from bus station and one of the train stations. Just an ideal spot to explore Ghent from. Host is very friendly and accommodating. Bed is comfy and had a good sleep there. Would definitely recommend.

Bad with toddlers, potential to be great.

- The location was excellent. - The flat is nicely furnished and modern. - The self check-in was simple and hassle-free.

- We were traveling with a young toddler. And 3 things that were specifically a challenge were the requested cot that didn't have a fitted sheet but a loose sheet (which is a safety risk; 2 cabinets were not fastened to the walls, another safety risk; and the listed highchair was apparently an item that needed to be requested but this was not indicated in the listing. - The kitchenette was frustrating and badly laid out. It feels like it wasn't made to be used at all. A heavy drop counter covers the whole work counter (covering the stove top and basin). You need to lift this heavy counter and lean it against the wall (a latch to secure it would make sense), but when doing this you can no longer use any counter top appliances (toaster/kettle). So to use the kitchen is an absolute chore. I personally feel this needs to be rethought. A smaller lighter drop counter which only covers half the work surface and a shelf would be welcome additions. - The pots and pans were in a sorry state. There were 2 stainless steel pots that were usable. But the large pot and the pan both with a nonstick finish are heavily scratched and in need of replacement. - When it comes to glass wear and crockery, there is a decent selection of plates and bowls. But the glassware needs attention. - The advert lists a number of facilities which are apparently available but not immediately in the flat (fan/ portable airconditioner). This was not communicated upfront and is a hassle when you are looking for something at 9pm. We also never found the shampoo/body-soap that is apparently available. A info document in the flat that explains the setup would be a great addition at the very least. - The bathroom is very dark with a light needed in the shower. - At night ventilation was a problem. The neighbouring restaurants make a lot of noise so you can't leave the windows open.

Everything but three (small) things went well. Please see below.

1) I did not understand the check-in process straight from the beginning, hence I tried calling the owner twice (he/she did not pick up as, understandably as it was close to midnight already), and as it was raining, I was quite wet before I was finally able to get into the property. 2) I believe that the pillows should be changed immediately. Pillows should have substance and not be fluffy as the ones in this location. They are the cause for neck pain in my opinion. 3) There wasn't really an indication to park my bike somewhere, so I parked it inside, which was totally fine, but perhaps there should be an indication regarding where to leave a bike.

Flat right in the city

It’s proximity to the main attractions.

This property is in the city. There are city noises and it is not very well sound proofed. We could hear people walking in the unit above us and the noise from the restaurant next door. The TV is installed at a very strange location right in the corner. The fridge froze up. The linen needs to be improved - the main bed duvet was too small and the pillows were too soft. The WiFi is extremely poor.

Very easy checkin, took a minute to see the buttons of the door handle :). Location was a nice surprise. Very close to good restaurants and landmarks. Everything within walking distance.

Needed more coffee, toiletries for 2 days stay. Would have been nice if it was already taken into account.
