Some of the lights were not working

Owner didn't answer any of our messages. Left several messages due to problems with entering the place in the beginning, no wifi and other stuff and never got any reply for the whole stay. Not via telephone or booking.com messages. Found hairs in bath tub upon arrival. It says it has a balcony, 2 tvs, dishwasher and internet. All which isn't true. No balcony at all, no tvs, no internet and no working dishwasher. Owner was not available to answer any questions.

Location is beyond expectations and couldn’t be more central. Parking option was very useful and appreciated but only confident drivers shoukd attempt if a bigger car as it’s a very narrow entrance. Would also have been helpful to know it’s in a zone that appears to be no cars allowed but exemption applies so you can. Caused a bit of confusion and worry when we were trying to find the property which looks like it is on a pedestrianised road. Property was spacious and all we needed for short stop in beautiful Ghent.

Lights weren’t working in kitchen and only one worked in lounge. Nothing that spoiled our stay though. Owner doesn’t respond to calls or messages while there but did provide enough info for us to stay without issue.

Spacious beautiful apartment, very central, clean and well equipped. The host was really responsive and helpful. Location was super central and handy to everything. Availability of parking at such a central location was also a bonus! We enjoyed our stay.

Wi-fi connection was hit and miss, issues with connecting and it was intermittently dropping off. Also can get quite noisy at night (we stayed over a weekend, so there were many young people out just below the apartment having fun enjoying themselves - great for them, but just a bit noisy for our family).

Fantastic location in the heart of the city. Restaurants , supermarkets cafes tourist attractions very close.

Great Location, the room is huge and very clean and comfortable, easy to check in and check out, I highly recommend it.

The location, being in the center we could find restos, shops, supermarkets, tourist attractions nearby, within walking distance. The apartment itself was beautiful with many art objects like paintings, vases etc.

The facility, we got 3 bedrooms, one connected with kitchen, one with big dining table and seemed more like office with photocopy machine, white board etc. Only one room was suitable for sleeping. And no wardrobe facility in all rooms, not even hangers. Also no living room except if we use one of the bedroom for gathering. The apartment may be suitable for group of friends, but not for family with small children, since several paintings were inappopriate and many of art items are fragile.

Most of the apartment is nicely furnished, but if you are more than 4 people, the last room looks like a makeshift bedroom/boardroom that is very clearly used by the owner as some sort of office.

The communication with the owner is disastrous - basically non-existent. A lot of the advertised facilities are not truly available. We had been trying to communicate with the property from around a week before our stay to ask for a couple of extra pillows but all of our messages were ignored. The only communication we received from the owner was a message with the check-in instructions. Apart from this, our stay was very uncomfortable and unsatisfactory. First of all, we did not have enough pillows and the pillows we were provided were small and flat, resembling sofa pillows rather than bed pillows. The apartment is advertised as having air conditioning, ironing facilities and a TV with streaming services. None of these were available. Our stay was in August and it was quite hot. While there are small ACs in the apartment, no remotes were provided for these. And there were no fans as alternatives. Opening the windows did not help either since it was also hot outside and there was construction on the street making it quite noisy. Apart from this, since the location of the apartment is quite central you can hear people from the street all the time - so we had to open the windows to get some sort of air and not feel too hot at night, but we couldn't sleep because of the noise anyways. Despite trying to contact the owner during our stay to point out these deficiencies and ask for a remedy (and using multiple means such as the booking.com chat, WhatsApp, text message, phone calls), we were simply ignored. All this made our stay very unpleasant and unsatisfactory - we feel like we definitely did not get what we paid for.

My bad experience was basically due to the lack of communication. I've got no answers to my questions before getting to the property. I got the wrong code to open the key-box (or the code was never sent in the first place - I'll never know). I had to wait with my family in the freezing cold for hour trying to communicate with anybody (the host or Booking). The area is very popular so, Saturday night, no other hotels were available. I also, wanted to use the private car-park, but was impossible due to bad communication (what made me waste another hour driving around the city to find a proper parking lot). By chance, after hours of waiting, phoning and texting with no success, the main problem was solved by a local neighbour who happen to know the host and his private phone number - got the right code for the key-box and let us in - bless him. Second problem was the lack of beds - we were 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) and there were only beds for 4. But well, after struggling hours in the cold that was a minor one.

Spacious and great location

I paid 20 euros extra for parking, and i recieved a fine for 58 euros because this location is a C3 zone, since it is a tourist area and people coming from different countries wouldnt have an idea about the permit required to reach this location, I expect the owner of this location to atleast mention it since we are paying specifically for the parking spot

The location is very good

We can not find the control of air conditioners 。The owner said the air conditioners are broke。It’s hot in the rooms。The owner did not give many information for check in and parking。I gave him call and messages,but no answer until I was be there。They did not offer sampoo and body wash

No idea, couldn't access the property

Property was not accessible due to center being shut down. Host did not make us aware of this nor did they offer any solutions to the problem. They were not responsive at all when messaging either. Travelling with two young children and expected us to walk 30 minutes from where a taxi would have been able to drop us with all of our luggage.

The location and property was great

It was very hard to get in touch with the host. We booked and paid for our stay on the same day, We had to book alternative accommodation as the host did not get back in time for the check-in times that were stated. We were sitting out on the street outside the property with no access. By 8pm we had to book a hotel nearby. The host did eventually contact us and we explained the situation. As we were not able to get a refund from the hotel, he said he would reimburse us for the first night (which we did not stay) but when I tried to contact him he did not answer.

Location was good, beds were comfortable, good bathroom facilities. Very spacious.

We were not informed about how to get the keys. Bed in living room. Some external noise of an evening.

Great location right in the middle of Ghent. The apartment itself is just beautiful, very spacious with everything you need! Totally exceeded my expectations.

The gate to enter the parking lot is pretty narrow, it was a bit stressful driving in with an SUV. But we managed :-) This should not be a problem with a smaller car.

Location is right in the centre of the town,so you could walk to the most of the attractions in the centre of the city.Apartment is spacious and equipped with all the necessities.Apartment interior feel is cozy.

Perfect location for everything, could not have been better. Good info and contact from owner and keys found easily.

Was listed as 2 bedroom but 1 double bed was in lounge so not convenient as stayed with friends, also 1 high table in lounge but only 3 stools

I really liked the location of the place. Apartment was very clean and everything was very well arranged including key pick-up.

Too noisy neighborhood , specially during night. Also ,Television was not working. And two beds were too small.

Erg smalle garage

On our tour of WW1 monuments we stopped off in Gent. Lovely city and the Croft is in an excellent position right in the middle of town. The apartment is lovely very quirky and worth a visit. Plenty of room nice facilites

Nothing to dislike. Apart from be wary of the parking garage if you have a biggish car. It is ground amd very tight.

Very spacious appartement at a fantastic location right in the middle of the historic centre.

Not really that comfortable and large enough of a couch to sleep on with two adults.

There was confusion when I called to arrange collection of the keys as the host said there was no booking for me!! He then sent instructions for key collection by text without any explanation for why he said there was no booking. This caused a bit of anxiety!
