Reasonably priced simple base to explore Ghent

Well stocked and furnished. Right next to tram to get into city.

Didn't realise from photos it was just one room thought bedroom was separate. Not much locally in terms of cafes or bars need to travel closer to city for such options.

Don’t recommend

Apartment looks nice, but it’s not really functional - you can’t cook anything.

The apartment has a strong musty smell, lots of mosquitoes and midges due to a nearby puddle, and is very noisy because it’s right next to a busy road. The stairs are extremely narrow and steep. On top of that, the self check-in system does not work properly – we were locked outside one evening for 1.5 hours and locked inside the next morning, which made us miss our transport. I had to constantly communicate with the host and even with other guests, who eventually gave us the key to get out. Definitely not a pleasant experience.

Very basic apartment with unclear instructions

The property is a 15 minute walk from town which we didn’t mind, but could be an issue for others.

Left over food Extremely narrow stairwell to get up to property Loud as on a very busy road and above a takeaway which has delivery scooters turning up very late In addition to the above the main issue was the initial communications with the host. Although he was contactable there wasn’t clear instructions around the keys in the lock box and this caused issues with the other guests in the building. There were subsequently phone calls and messages from the host which impacted the holiday. I would note this was raised and host claimed feedback was taken on board

The air conditioning worked really well in the heat.

No hob to cook your meals and yet there were pots and frying pans. On what are you supposed to cook your meals. It also advertised laundry room and kitchenette. Where? In thin air? Also a persistent putrid smell permeated every space.

Very expensive. Very pretty room, but not much thought put into making it functional.

The bed was comfortable. The air-conditioner was effective, if not quiet. It was nice to have a little table as a seating/dining area. Would have been better if the table didn't wobble quite so much. Water in the shower was hot and plentiful. There was a tram right on your doorstep and a supermarket a short walk away. The glazing blocked a lot of the street noise, even the trams were fairly quiet.

The stairs (which are briefly warned about in the description) are terrible. Narrow, steep, windy and dark. A broken neck waiting to happen. The curtains had a lovely floral print, but were absolutely useless for blocking light, which is the main purpose of curtains in accommodation like this. Being on a corner, there were car headlights (and tram lights) shining into the room well into the night, and again early in the morning. The room lists a "tumble drier". I am not sure what the owners think this is, but there is certainly no device to dry your clothes in this apartment. The kitchen has been stocked with a bunch of random items with absolutely no thought about what people staying there might use. Nine wine glasses, but no corkscrew! Who does that? An oven, but not a single oven tray or baking dish to be able to use it. An abundance of tea cups, but no large plates for eating a meal. And not a single kitchen knife, nor bread knife. The fridge was very loud, all night. This would not be such a problem except that it is 4 metres from the bed, with no doors in between. In our three month tour of Europe, we have stayed in ten different privately rented apartments across five countries. This was the second-most expensive of them all, but one of the least useful in terms of a home-away-from-home. I don't mind paying more if you get better quality, but this was not it.

Appartement was erg koud. wel een airco om mee te verwarmen maar deze werkte helaas niet. Geen tv aanwezig, dit stond uiteindelijk ook niet vermeld in de omschrijving maar vond ik persoonlijk wel een gemis. Hygiëne verdienend nog wat aandacht, veel spinnenrag aan de plafonds.

La cama es cómoda y en el baño había todo lo necesario (toallas de repuesto, secador, gel,champú) Detrás hay un parque pequeño para niños

Nosotros viajamos con un niño de 3 años, las escaleras hasta el piso 2 eran dificultosas, el carro lo dejábamos abajo en el portal.La cocina no tenía vitrocerámica u horno eléctrico, contaba solo con airfryer y microondas. El centro estaba alejado andando...casi a 30 min.

Posizione tranquilla, abbastanza vicina al P+ R Muide dove ho sempre trovato posto nei giorni di permanenza (meno di 10 minuti a piedi). Bagno e piccola cucina comodi e con accessori adeguati a soggiorni brevi. Il tram T2 ferma qui davanti per arrivare in centro in 9 minuti. Sia il letto matrimoniale che il divano letto sono stati molto comodi e facili da preparare con le lenzuola a disposizione. Asciugamani, bagnoschiuma, phon a disposizione. Macchina del caffè dolce gusto con cialde, microonde e bollitore oltre a gas a induzione. Non abbiamo cucinato, solo colazione in appartamento. Abbiamo viaggiato a inizio agosto, non serviva né il riscaldamento, né il condizionatore. Temperatura perfetta nell'appartamento. Ben isolata dai rumori con le finestre chiuse.

Se devo trovare un difetto, le tende sono poco oscuranti visto che ci sono tre grandi vetrate nel soggiorno dove sono posizionati sia il letto che il divano letto. Abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema ad uscire dal palazzo dove si trova l'abitazione perché i vicini avevano chiuso a chiave l'ingresso principale e non avevamo a disposizione nessuna chiave perché è tutto gestito con Locker dall'esterno, ma l'host è venuto a risolvere il problema in circa 10 minuti (forse fornirei almeno quella chiave)

La cama excelente y el aire perfecto

Muy poco menaje de cocina, no tenía platos grandes, y ninguna olla para cocinar. El baño estaba muy limpio, pero los utensilios de cocina muy sucios.la bajera de la cama tenía manchas de sangre y muchos pelos de todos colores.Tuvo un buen detalle el traer una nevera nueva, pues la provisional era muy pequeña. No hay ropero para guardar la ropa. Aconsejo cerrar las ventanas..pues había una cucaracha en la cortina del baño y muchísimos mosquitos gigantes

Séjour agréable à Dokstudio 50

Le flat est bien aménagé avec tout ce qu'il faut pour un séjour agréable. Tout y est propre. Il est situé dans un quartier de Gand très accessible en bus et en tram pour un accès facile vers le centre ville et la gare sncb. Il y a aussi un petit centre commercial à 5 minutes à pied et quelques magasins de quartier.
