About this house rental
The barn is situated in a small village which is surrounded by rolling countryside yet it is only 7 miles south of the ancient and beautiful cathedral city of Norwich. The immediate area is a haven for wildlife - barn owls, small owls, bats, buzzards, marsh harriers, munjac, Chinese water deer and roe deer, rabbits and hares are all frequently seen and heard (as well as our own cheeky chickens) The famous Wheatfen Nature Reserve is a short walk away (5 minutes drive). The village also has it's own community reserve as well as a staithe and broad with bird hide and footpath leading to the Wherryman's Way, along the River Yare and if you need a little refreshment, the village pub or Post Office with tea room is on hand. Further afield - the coast is a 45 minute drive (Southwold/Winterton) and the North Norfolk coast is an hour away. The area has a wealth of local produce on offer for those who like to "eat local" - with 2 award winning farm shops a 5 minute drive away, a perfect Portuguese Patisserie and a variety of local pubs situated on the nearby River Yare - indeed the award winning Winberri vineyard is just over the back field. We look forward to welcoming you to the Barn at The Well House.
