Good location

The location was great for us

The heating kept going off and one day there was no heating but we were provided with heaters which isn’t great. Also the electric on all sockets cut off for few hours I thinking the heaters may have tripped the sockets. Alex was very helpful and immediately tried his best to resolve the issues promptly.

Good value

The host gave us a much larger room than we had originally booked. The room was very clean, warm and with a large bathroom. The only downside was the property is quite remote (made worse with the detour as a result of road works on the A47) but this was reflected in the price of the room.

Absolutely Brilliant Accommodation, Staff and Manager

Despite being a very short stay, everything from staff, cleanliness, comfort and location was exceptionally brilliant. The manager was kind enough to give couple of hours extension to check-out.

With everything being exceptionally great, there was nothing not to like.

Perfect as a base for local travels

Wonderful old house, spacious rooms and comfy beds. Quiet apart from the owls (wonderful!). Friendly staff. Beautiful grounds.

No option for breakfast, although fridge and cutlery etc supplied in room was far from shops to purchase if you hadn’t bought prior.

Mixed feelings

Lovely building, beautiful setting. Room was a good size.

Carpet in shower room/toilet.. smelt awful, Maybe you should have vinyl flooring. Large Stain on carpet next to bed. Poor layout of room. Only 1 pillow and duvet felt old. Complimentary tea/coffee wasn't good. Teabags loose, 1 coffee sachet.. no sugar. Would have brought our own if we knew.

More must than mattress.

Our stay last night was disappointing. The accommodation smelled damp and looked neglected. From the moment we opened the door, we were met with a powerful smell of mould & dampness. We immediately had to open all the windows just to make the air breathable, which obviously made the room even more cold than it first was. The poor condition wasn't limited to the smell. The bed and pillows were so thin and hard that they were so uncomfortable, resulting in a terrible night's sleep for both of us. The towels smelt of mould too. In response to management's typical unprofessional defense of the property's low price point, this is not a matter of being "cheap" it's a matter of being substandard & unsanitary. I have stayed in numerous places at a similar price that were far cleaner, more comfortable, and had professional, caring staff. A low price does not excuse mould, discomfort, or an uncaring attitude. I would like to point out that Alex did try. It's the management higher up that let this place down. Your responses to bad reviews reflect that. Please just change the mattress, pillows & put an air freshener in the room.

Lovely Lingwood

Very large family room with ample parking

The bathroom sink is too high and the tap leaks. Also the shower floor overflows onto the bathroom floor

Not great

It was a good location for what I needed while in Norfolk for a couple of days.

The room wasn't very clean, and there were quite a few slugs that left slug trail marks on any of my bags that I had left on the floor. Quite disappointing.

The location was beautiful! The staff were very friendly and accommodating which made the stay feel very safe for me and my autistic children.

The single bed was quite creaky so moving in the night made quite a lot of noise in the room.

A lovely one night stay. Would recommend to others.

Beautifully presented large room for a family of four and dog. The bathroom was a great size. Comfy beds and very clean. A extremely comfortable room and facilities. The location was perfect and peaceful.

On use of the walk in shower, it didn't drain well enough and we had an overflow of water across the rest of the bathroom floor which we had to clear up making the bathroom very slippery.

Lovely area not far from a train station and a local park run.

Its in a really nice area of the world. The outside of the building and grounds are very nice. Nice driveway with plenty of parking. Not far from a local Park run if that's your thing on a Saturday morning

Its a lovely area, Very little i didnt like. The building is set in nice grounds the grass and areas look to be very well maintained. Maybe could do with some extra lighting if you are staying in the studio away from the main house as its very dark on a late evening.

Great value for money lovely accommodation

The room was huge very spacious for 4 people, included a large ensuite , there was a microwave and toaster and fridge in the room. A large tv sofa and table and chair. Plates and cups and cutlery. Clean and tidy. Very quite

The tv remote had the batteries taped in was a bit tricky to work , there where a few rooms when entering that where open (sitting room and conservatory) but where unsure if we where able to use same with the grounds large property but wasnt clear if we where able to venture from the room which wasnt an issue as stayed one night would of been nice to know.

Convenient and self contained stay an easy journey to Norwich centre

Really lovely location out in the countryside but still easy to get into Norwich centre. The room itself is tucked away and left to yourself which is nice.

The bed was a little uncomfy and very noisy, and no door on the bathroom so wouldn’t recommend the room for 2 adults. The cooking facilities were very limited as no oven.

Wasn’t the cleanest of rooms. The bin hadn’t been emptied from the previous occupants and there was black dog hairs in the bathroom all over the floor tiles. This really shouldn’t be acceptable

We enjoyed our stay , but would have liked more human contact, would have liked to have met the owners of the property,

Idyllic setting , very peaceful and relaxing , clean and well presented generally. A friendly cat , was the only sign of life in the building, apart from the young man who took us to our room , and a brief glimpse of two members of staff at the end of our stay .

There was nobody around to communicate with , didn’t find the swimming pool , the entry code had been changed from the one given on our booking information . No bin liner , only one chair , had to sit on the bed for breakfast.

I liked the location, the room was ideal, i had a room outside of the main house so had my own entrance, plenty of parking, lovely and quiet

If i had to pick something the bed was metal so it was noisy and even though it had air con some natural breeze would have been nice as the windows don't open

Great location for our needs, with everything we expected and nothing we didn't!

Lovely large bedroom and bathroom, with everything we expected/needed during the stay. As we were visiting my son only a couple of miles away in Acle we did not need meals and everything else we would have expected was provided. We were very comfortable and the rural quiet situation was perfect for a good nigjt's sleep.

Nice but could do better

The room was quite big, as was the bathroom. A small fridge and kettle were provided, as was cutlery and plates. Off-street parking was available. Google Maps took us to the right location and instructions from the team were received in good time.

Off-street parking was near trees, so watch out for bird droppings and tree sap. Code for entrance had 'recently been changed, but luckily staff were able to let us in. The entrance to the bedroom itself was via a small staircase and was a bit award to get into with my height. Beds were not made up during our stay (4 nights). We happen to run into owner and get replenishment of teabags. Mattress was related to brick and the pillows were lumpier than 70s school custard.

Great place to stay with good facilities for a family at a good price to enjoy the countryside.

The room was very clean with good facilities. The bathroom was large with a very nice walk in shower. The hall is very nice and there are nice communal facilities such as a conservatory and a very large sitting room on the ground floor, should anyone wish to use them.

Light colour carpet had some marks on it which initially concerned us but on closer inspection, we realised that it was all very clean but due to the colour of the carpet it showed all marks. The TV didn't have a remote control. They had one on order. The code to the front door of the hall didn't seem to work.
