8 Aspland Road

Great location in a quiet road near the station. Loved the kitchen facilities in the room: fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, 2-ring hob, cutlery, plates etc. Clean.

The room doors are noisy as they close, which did wake me up on my first night.

Easily walkable city with a history going back 1200+ years and which was a for a lengthy period England's second city. However this visit was to wish an old friend farewell. IMHO the Pub food in the city is well above average, if you avoid the large national brands. In particular there is a neighbouring south folk brewer whose Steak and Ale Pie or Katsu Chicken Curry are among the best I have tasted, plus they brew a great ecclesiastical pint too (work that out - it isn't difficult). (For Londoners the Food is of similar quality to that of the Griffin.) Final clue - written by Izaak Walton.

Nothing to do with the trip. Just wish I could have spent more time in the city which brings back so many memories of childhood holidays post WWii.

It was very clean, good water pressure and amount of water and I really appreciated the iron and board. There was a good amount of sockets, which were usefully placed. The room exceeded my expectations

I did not have a decent sleep either night. Though it was surprisingly quiet outside, it was actually the emergency exit sign within the room that kept me up all night. It was so bright it lit up the entire room and I only got about 5 hours of unrestful sleep. I didn’t bring a sleep mask as I can’t wear them anymore. The second evening we had some inconsiderate guests who were very loud and coming in and out. It took me a long time to fall asleep afterwards. I really appreciated the secure doors but they are very loud and echo in the hallway. With two days of little sleep I actually opted to pay more for the train to leave Norwich early my last day as I was so exhausted.
