This is a beautiful property in an ideal location for day trips if you have a vehicle. As a family of four, we had plenty of space to spread out. The well-equipped kitchen made meal preparation and dinners easy. The hot tub was a wonderful place to relax after our full days of exploring the stunning Scottish countryside.

We arrived after a 9 hour drive to the air bnb and were greeted with the house being super homely! Great garden and surrounding walks. All rooms were well equipped with everything they needed and we were left biscuits and coffee to enjoy throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and large lounge. We will definitely be back again! Thank you! Had a great stay! Perfect for children and large families!

We all immediately felt relaxed upon walking through the door. The place just has a cozy feel. Would recommend to anyone that's looking to decompress and just hang out. You must go to Puck's Glen though, which will be more than enough exercise for your stay.

Very disappointed very hard to find as no signs telling you where property is . No contact from owners who live next door, no welcome pack for instance fresh Milk bread tea bags just 2 packets of cookies one of which had been opened and a bite taken Only 3 tea spoons , and only 3 soup spoons this was a holiday for ( 7 people ) kitchen utensils not cleaned and some rusted mixture of about 8 mostly tea stained cups Only 1 grubby cloth left for us to clean kitchen with No instructions on how to work heating etc Upstairs pull out bed dirty sheets still on from previous rental Also sheets on super king size bed had stains Definitely not worth the £1650 for the week

We loved our stay at the Eckford House. The house was beautiful, with very comfortable furniture in the sitting room and bedrooms. The kitchen was also very nice. Every room was decorated to a high standard. The house is situated at a quiet and idyllic setting with a very pretty path that takes you to a stream with a waterfall. The kids loved seeing the resident rooster and ducks walk around the property. It was chilly in the evening so it was nice to have plenty of firewood to make a fire in the fireplace. Our family also enjoyed the fancy hot tub in a separate part of the house after a long day of sightseeing and walking. It's a short drive to the Botanic Garden and Dunoon. The hosts Sandy and Roisin were very responsive and helpful with our questions. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to this part of Scotland, will definitely be back again for a visit.
