Having previously stayed at The Guest Wing we were a returning customer and will be continuing to return in future. The property is ideally located and set back from the road. Nice and quiet with off-road parking.
Plenty of space inside with a kitchen diner and sitting area.

We had a great time staying at the Guest Wing, there were 7 of us, 4 adults and 3 children and we were all well catered for. The host was very friendly and helpful and the location was ideal for exploring the island while staying in a quiet location. The house is pretty big while being cosy at the same time and the garden with beach and garden toys was well used.
The beds weren't the most comfortable, particularly the double bed in the bedroom downstairs, which also suffered quite badly from damp, the smell was pretty bad. There was a plug-in room freshener, however, the smell of that was too overwhelming for a bedroom. Not sure what can be done about that given the age of the property but thought it fair to mention it.

Comfortable accommodation and lovely host
The website, business cards etc show the wonderful view from the front but the accommodation is round the back and the kitchen overlooks scaffolding, ladders, bricks etc( probably why the blind is half down. Bedrooms overlooking more scaffolding, roofs etc. We stay on Bute every year and it's our first accommodation without glorious views.
