It was very quiet. Manager was very friendly.
The area is a bit run down. We thought we were going to have a lovely view but it was just a view of the lawn.

Breakfast not included. Was fairly isolated and one track road to get there which was a bit difficult. However if you took care it was okay.
The accomodation itself was good, however the bunkbeds were not too great for adults and that room was very hot as you could not open a window. A fan would be helpful.

We stayed in the Literature apartment. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Milk and cookies and a warm welcome from Carol to top it off. We made beautiful walks in the area (Oakwood, Lake Avich and inverinan) and had coffee and gluten free (!) carrot cake and lunch at the café. We had quite some rain but it was perfect. Very dog friendly as well.
There are blue algae in Lake Awe, so we couldn't let the dog in the water.

A wonderful outdoor garden area but nothing exclusive to each apartment to provide privacy so felt overlooked at times

I'd never stayed in an old village school before, such a cool idea! Perfect location for a small break away from our busy/stressful city lives. We had a garden, trails and endless walks pretty much from the doorstep which was brilliant for our dog. Sadly, the weather wasn't the best and we had a very wet weekend, but that happens in the West of Scotland :) very lucky to have a lovely place to cosy up in. The Literature apartment was plenty of space for the three of us. Our hosts were lovely, very helpful and accommodating to our needs. Highly recommend!

Lovely village and location, a very short walk from Loch Awe, with nearby woodland to ramble in. So quiet at night too. Owners were very nice, friendly and welcoming. Some amazing views in the area.

Escape to tranquility!
This apartment was the perfect getaway for those seeking peace and quiet. Nestled in a truly remote corner of Scotland, with Loch Awe just steps away, we couldn't have asked for a more idyllic location.
The apartment itself was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Although a compact children's room with bunk beds, it is incredibly cosy with a spacious open plan living room and kitchen. We spent our days exploring the beautiful surroundings, enjoying walks by the lake and soaking up the tranquility.
Be aware that this property is very remote, so come prepared with supplies and a long narrow forest road! However, that isolation is exactly what we were looking for and it truly enhanced the sense of escape. Kids were hoping for snow, adults for northern lights. So we got clouds and rain. But nevertheless the landscape is worth it.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to get away from it all and reconnect with nature.

Carol and her Husband went far out there way to help me, I took my wife's Ashes back to Loch Awe to put her to rest, and was so kind in helping me find a very special place to put her to rest.
You could not ask for a better host, very helpful and you need only ask if you need directions or anything else.
nothing to add.

The location was lovley. The house was nice just a bit old ie couch carpet. But the rest was nice
The carpet in the bedroom had large bits with no carpet just canvas. Also coffee that was left for us was out of date in July. Apart from that the place was nice.

Extra points for the fresh milk in the fridge for arrival!! It had everything we needed, very well equipped. Friendly hosts. If you are going to stay in Dalavich this is the place to stay. We will return. WiFi included which was a bonus. Weekend spent fishing on the loch which is about 2 minutes walk! Spacious rooms. Only thing I'd have changed would be some coat hooks near the door. But this place is a hidden gem and fantastic value for money compared with nearby lodges.
Nothing, all as expected.

Access to the Highlands was good.
Location near Loch Awe was excellent. Getting to the Old School involves a trip along a single track road with passing place's. Not for the faint hearted.

I throughly Enjoyed and appreciated that the host provided Tea, Coffee, Biscuits and Fresh milk lovely touch after long journey.
The location is a little restricted especially if staying with young children. I was aware of this due to originally being a local.
Unfortunately we did find lingerie in one of the bedroom cupboards from a past guest
