Not good enough this time

We love the location, we have been staying here for many years.

We were unlucky with the caravan this time. Even though we thought we choose modern and new caravan, it had broken doors in one of the bedrooms,broken door handle in one of the bathrooms. Some doors kids struggled to open as it was catching on carpet. There were massive gaps on window cell in main bedroom and the entrance door, it was -3 one night and the cold was coming in the caravan. We stayed for 4 nights and on the coldest night the pipes froze and we had no water, no toilet no nothing until 4pm the next day. I understand the weather can be unpredictable and it's all fair enough, but the attitude of one of the owners when approached about it was less then supportive. We had to find whatever containers etc we could to go and get the water for food or toilets from another caravan. We were there with 3 young kids and that's not really what we paid for.

Best caravan for weekend relax

Highly recommend. Lovely caravan, comfortable, good facilities, beautiful location. No internet what we knew in advance and was nice to be away from everybody. Definitely need something for mosquitos.We loved the place and we will will back.

Value of money and availability of pet. Also, it was quite close to the beach side for a walk with the dog in the morning.

Unfortunately, some doors to the room were delaminated. It seems there is no physical gap between the carpeted floor and the door, and thus, this leads to high friction between them. The bed frame was also quite squeaky, making a lot of noise. Another one, the most important thing, is the grumpy staff (or on-site manager) who has dogs. One of our members has been seriously bitten by one of them when she entered the staff bungalow to ask for toilet paper. We could not hear any apologies from her, and the staff shouted and blamed her for entering the building.

Quiet, peaceful location and the unit itself was well equipped with some. Ice touches e.g. a barbecue with charcoal supplied.

Road surfaces in and around park were poor and no recycling bins on location. Area surrounding park in need of done TLC

Fun with friends. We were looking for a great place to get together as friends with our sons. Great location and a beaut

Really beautiful caravan. Well equipped with everything you need for a great week. The third bedroom was fantastic.

There is a lot of mud on the roads which they are doing work to. I’d definitely recommend wellies and bring a mat to store them inside.

it was a great holiday, as stated a little far out and the site does look as if it’s being refurbished, maybe a Children

lovely, clean and spacious, the park is a little far out for us as we don’t drive but other than that I couldn’t fault it

on the last night it was very loud from one caravan, it lasted most of the night and as the park isn’t that big it was really loud

Cosy escape, waterfall amazing

Beautiful area and nice dog walks. Sadly we got 2 days of torrential rain but still made the most of any lull and got the dogs down to beach area. Owners friendly and helpful. Mobile home lovely, clean and recently fitted out, so nice and modern. Living area spacious and well equipped. We were very cosy with Central heating included. Main bedroom nice and spacious with separate loo, but other 2 bedrooms really tiny with 2 beds in each. Would have preferred beds that could ziplock as a bit tricky to sleep on comfortably as narrow for an adult. Would be fine for kids. Site would really benefit from a wee shop as nothing nearby. Signs of some work going on around the turret so maybe in hand, unfortunately due to weather and lack of hard landscaping this created a lot of muck around site so best pack some wellies or walking shoes.

Lack of WiFi. It was hit and miss on site, but is not advertised as being available so I guess it was a bonus to get it now and again.

This accommodation was immaculate and extremely quiet at night with an amazing waterfall to look at and listen too. Would highly recommend if your looking for some quiet time.

….everything is practically new, clean and well equipped…cozy new caravan

One minus that I have to note is the lack of soap…. if there was a formation about it, it would not be a problem and you would have to go to the store and it takes an hour

Peaceful getaway location

The property is like new inside, beautifully furnished and appointed with excellent kitchen facilities. We were a family group of 5 staying for 3 days / 2 nights and we loved it - it is definitely a step up from a caravan holiday and the site is peaceful and quiet in the evenings.

No complaints at all about the site. Make sure you read the full listing, there is no shop or bar on site, be sure to stop off in Dunoon at Morrisons or the Co-op on your way round to stock up. The owners provide a handy laminated sheet with other nearby facilities and information.
