Lovely spacious tidy house, would stay again!

7 adults stayed for a family wedding, spacious property with plenty of room to spread out. House was clean & tidy and had all the amenities we needed.

Quiet location

A spacious, comfirtable hpuse in a quiet area near to fields and countryside. An easy 35 minute walk to the centre of Largs

We had to go looking for towels as we weren't given enough. One towel and some of the bedding was stained. There was washing in the washing machine and laundry which wasn't ours and food in the freezer which wasn't ours.

Excellent place with bathrooms needing urgent minor maintenance.

Excellent place with all cooking utensils, cutlery etc. Spacious house with enough rooms and bathrooms.On the checkout day, we got a bit delayed and the representative who came to do cleaning waited graciously for us to load the luggage and check out.

One of the bathroom door's know was kind of free. The bathroom door was not getting locked. I had seen other reviews complaining about this and was surprised to see that it was not fixed. One family member got trapped in another downstairs bathroom, as after shower the shower glass door jammed and did not open even after repeatedly trying for 15 mins. Finally, we had the open the bathroom door with a coin from outside, and pull the glass door open from outside. Needless to say, noone took shower there again! 🙂 These are not complaints, but note to the owner to fix please as it's too good a property to have these inconveniences. We have seen that on the other reviews, the owner asks why people don't inform her from the property so she could make it right. We did not want to get deviated from the sole purpose of Tourism in discussions, and so doing after the visit. Just will request those to be looked into and corrected, and we will visit again for sure.

Family trip to Largs.

The house and location was perfect for our recent family trip to Largs and we had a nice easy check in. The house was really spacious and the beds were very comfy. We had no issues with Wi-Fi or getting the tv to work. Brilliant stay and would recommend.

As other reviews have mentioned the house needs some slight TLC but all in all it’s a lovely property and this wouldn’t put us off booking again.

Great Weekend in Largs

Very spacious and comfortable house just outside the town centre. Really handy for sport Scotland national training centre and for access to Largs and surrounding area. Host was very helpful. Would recommend.

The property was well equipped for a large group and in a nice quiet neighbourhood next to the beautiful countryside just outside Largs.

The property definitely needs a deep clean, crumbs on sofas and lots of cobwebs as well as lots of dirty kitchen wear. Bathrooms had no bath mats or fans which led to very wet/ slippy bathrooms. Consideration needs to be looked at for the two twin rooms to have black out curtains as there is currently only privacy blinds that let in all light. Some of the beddings/ mattresses could do with updating.

The cottage was spotless and so spacious. Heating available as I am ill. Plenty parking off the road. Everything supplied as said on booking.

Large family-friendly house

Spacious and comfortable house for a larger party. The house was quiet and warm, and the split-level layout suited our multi generation family group. Plenty of parking space.

Although the house is generally well-equipped using the cooker involved some guesswork, and it would have been nice to have a dishwasher. It was a bit further from the town centre than I expected.

Wouldn’t ever recommend staying here.

Beautiful house internally and location was good.

The exterior doors didn’t lock and had to contact the owner who did nothing to help. Had to leave it unlocked to go for a dinner reservation and contacted owner but she did nothing to fix the issue. The tv in living room didn’t work again owner wasn’t able to help. The garden as previously mentioned in reviews is in quite a mess with broken bits of furniture lying in the grass and a gate that doesn’t stay closed so not secure when you have a dog staying. Plants and a tree blown over not fixed before we arrived. We ended up using our laptop to watch tv and were so unhappy with our stay we left early. This property is not in a fit state to be rented right now due to security issues with exterior doors that owner wouldn’t address. No apology or acknowledgment that we were so unhappy we left early. This is the first time I’ve ever wrote a negative review but that’s how dissatisfied we were.

Full of Potential....but badly maintained!

Online and at first glance we loved the look and size of this property and the design/space over 3 levels and thought it would be perfect for our group of 5 friends travelling together. It is potentially a great place to stay.

Unfortunately the lack of maintenance really let this potentially 5 star accommodation down and it didn't meet the standard we were expecting at all. There were 2 shower-rooms and 1 bathroom and although someone came quickly to look at one of the 2 showers on our request, it was unfixable for our stay . Every room could do with something fixed/sorted/repaired or replaced. The garden was definitely not the enjoyable outside space we had hoped for at all, it looked like it hadn't been maintained all year. Disappointed now looking at other reviews for June, July & September more closely that certain issues weren't looked at and sorted for our stay, especially the garden, seeing as we booked well in advance.

Neil’s Anniversary

The property had a very nice homely feel but was modern and tastefully decorated. Very spacious with four great double bedrooms rooms one with en-suite and spacious singles ones. The kitchen is great and open and there is a large garden with sun terrace a burn flowing at the back from the mountains which are two steps away. Sited 15 walk into Largs and a short drive to ferry crossing to the highlands its located perfect. Will definitely rebook great for families. Owner was very quick to answer any questions we had.

The garden was badly in need of at very least a grass cut, but generally needs a good tidy up. Kick boards in Kitchen were kicked under. Skirting missing from areas of walls. Scratchings on the wallpaper. Unable to find a remote control for TV in dining area. Unable to find a wine opener One of the double beds was loose/creaky

A lovely house in a nice area that just needs some attention and up-grading.

I loved the actual house and the layout. Kithen and dining room area designed to be sociable. Lovely quiet area. Bedrooms a good size.

We all felt the house needed some basic tlc. On arrival there were over a dozen light bulbs that weren't working - credit to the owner who sent someone to sort them out - but they should have been working when we arrived. Trying 3 different light switches immediately on arrival that didn't work was not a positive start. Shelves in the kitchen were dirty and needed cleaned. The owner did say she would send a cleaner around - but this was only a short stay and it wasn't convenient. I know there is a lot of "stuff" around the house which is nice to a point - but lots of it just needs binned. The utility room was very untidy with piles of stuff all over the place. Some blinds not working and blinds in twin bedroom not fit for purpose as they did not keep light out at all. The settee was marked and needed replacing /recovering. We haved all stayed in numerous self-catering houses so are not novices at renting, and we have realistic expectations. The house did not match up to expectations. We felt it would not take a lot of investment, or time to make the house fabulous. Wow - quite a response from owner ! Few points I'd like to respond to 1. We were asked to do a review - so we did. It was 100% honest and fair. (Party was male and female) 2. We offered to pay for dog and extended exit time when requesting. 3. We left house very clean and tidy - FACT. As we always do. 4. The bulb situation was not as owner states FACT- really not worth responding to. 5. There were numerous other issues which I didn't mention online, and they were factors in overall score. 6. If there are issues on arrival you must say then, otherwise the owner will say "Well why didn't you mention the problem earlier" - that's in direct reponse to the "Turns up, and the complaining starts." comment. 7. None of us were unkind or wanting to "sabotage " a livelihood. 8. When an owner just resorts to insults - be your own judge.

Girly night away

House was lovely, well equipped. Big and spacious. Pamela the owner was great answering any queries i had. We had a fantastic night together as a group of friends.

Would have been handy having a wee instructions manual for the heating and the cooker, took us a while to try and figure them out and we couldn't get the dish washer to work so just washed everything manually.
