Kilburn Holiday Cottage

Great space for a couple of families both inside and out. Lots of room, stuff for kids to do, kitchen diner is a fab room for hanging out. Close to Largs if you have a car. Very peaceful too!

It was a nice location cottage was nice plenty of rooms

There was no towels left out the ones in the drying room where still wet and was smelling of dampness had to go out and buy towels.

7 adults stayed for a family wedding, spacious property with plenty of room to spread out. House was clean & tidy and had all the amenities we needed.

I received a message 1hr 15 mins before arrival to say problem with housekeeping it would be a delayed entry .. we got there at 3.55 sat in car till 4.50 the girl was just finishing off The towels had just been washed and were all wet,she apologised as they were outside drying .. the tumble dryer was full of bedding .. She told us she was only contacted at 2.30 … which with the amount of bathrooms alone never mind washing was an impossible task .. the poor woman was terribly harassed and couldn’t apologise enough By the time we finished drying bedding …some if which we hung outside … then dryer towels no shower before dinner After the lady left we smelt a strong smell of gas . She had given us her contact number so we phoned .. then opened all windows etc .. she came straight back .. by this time we knew it was coming from the hob .. she said when she arrived .. the knob on hob was off and she tried to put it back on before we arrived she put the knob back on again .. middle one on the right It stopped the leak but we decided to remove that knob and left it at the side if the hob just in case The garden chairs could do with a good clean .. only hand wash in one bathroom and a few cobwebs here and there about the house Just for information an instruction book for appliances would be very helpful also emergency numbers .. doctors .. pharmacy Convenience shop The steps outside leading upto the patio the top one is loose so we went out by patio doors Please do not fault housekeeping She should be commended if anything

Overall if properly serviced and cleaned it would be enjoyable
