Good accommodation

Very clean, bed comfortable, good selection for continental breakfast, nice shower even though it was over the bath in room 3, once sorted in bedroom good heating. Staff in bar below were friendly and helpful even though they said it was a separate business they didn’t just hand a key over and ignore you they were very pleasant and helpful when asking for help.

Seemed as though you needed temperature on full in radiator in bedroom if you lowered it it went off but rather be warm as cold

Great location and lovely community pub!

This is a great location. Easy to walk into Norwich or catch a bus to the city centre. The room was comfortable (I’d have liked a bigger double bed) and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A real plus was the pub itself. Good beer and food and a friendly atmosphere. Overall good value.

Nice place to stay for a night

Nice rooms. Easy to walk in to Norwich, took about 30 minutes to the centre. Good to have a breakfast basket.

Naturally some noise from the pub but stopped at 11pm.

A good overnight stay, friendly staff

I liked the quirkiness of the property, and the staff were very accommodating and friendly The room was very comfortable, decorated nicely and warm and the bathroom was particularly nice Free parking is a great advantage in a city centre

It was further out of the city centre than we thought, so that is the only reason we probably wouldn’t return. The car park area/ entrance could seriously do with a tidy up, it’s full of rubbish and doesn’t represent the interior of the pub, unfortunately for a first impression it wasn’t good It’s a shame they don’t offer a cooked breakfast as the staff are in the kitchen preparing for lunchtime but the continental offer was satisfactory just not what we enjoy

This was a mood changer arrived glum left exhilarated.

The room was good very comfortable with good pillows and a decent mattress. The pub down stairs was brilliant with kind of old world shabby chic that felt authentic . The staff were just top notch without exception . But the food whoa … I played safe and went for a house red with steak and fries . The wine was beautiful I hadn’t had such I supper wine in years . The steak was perfect the garnish was mega but the fries and sauce just the best . Honestly will stay here again if only for the food .

Decent pub

No heating in room. Had portable heaters which gave off a dusty smell. Offered us a different room for day 2 but didn’t pick up emails till we were home. Quite a trek into town. TV complicated with no instructions.

Loved the room - really well thought out and decor was great. The breakfast was continental in the room - good options. Great to have a table to sit at. Shower pressure was good - always a bonus! Staff really friendly. Would totally recommend - great value for money. Thank you - Ill be back!

Large spacious room with arty design and added bonus of a bath and good coffee machine. Great food in the pub downstairs.

Radiator stuck on in bathroom so very hot even with the windows open. Early morning wake up due to bottle collections /bins but understand out of the property control as it needs to be done for the pub below.

The smell from the extractor fan from the kitchen, located above the pub garden with smoke and sound travelling up to the room. The front entrance needs TLC. Wasn’t clear it was a pub when booking.

A lovely cosy stay, like being at home

We had a room on the 1st floor above the pub; we couldn't hear a thing from downstairs. The pub itself has a good range of beers & ciders; food is only served on Sundays, but there's plenty of choice in the area. In fact, loads of pubs going towards town, some serving good food. Breakfast consisted on cereal and croissants left in a hamper in our room the previous night, together with orange juice & milk in the rooms fridge. Breakfast in bed each morning, so no need to rush to get to the buffet! Checking in was straightforward, all the staff were friendly, and there was free parking at the pub. We'd be happy to stay here again.

Great place, nice decor, handy location and i would stay again.

Friendly people running the place. Nice pub. Handy location and car parking, so we could leave the car and walk into the city.

My wife said her side of the bed was lumpy(mine seemed fine). Not great pillows. You do get some noise from the pub kitchen extractor but it didn't keep us awake.

Excellent hospitality, food and a comfy bed for great sleep.

Food and pub were great, room above a pub is always going to have a little back ground noise, so this was expected. The lady who looked after the rooms was very obliging and realised that we might want a shower mat, which she added without us asking. Thank you you were all great!!!

The bathroom mirror had obviously been replaced with a small make up mirror (the old fittings were still half on the wall, the toilet seat was really very badly fitted and swung around when you sat on it and the bathroom blinds needed a little tlc as some of the fittings were broken.

Very convenient for what we wanted and good base to explore Norwich both centrally and a little further out.

Staff was excellent, room was okay,, most of the food was okay, pub had good atmosphere.

Bed was uncomfortable and squeaky and to small, windows wouldn't stay up, toilet seat broken, mould around bath, bin not emptied, sugar and milk and muesli not replaced paper on ceiling coming off, loud music playing after everyone had left, food was tasty but one starter was cold, must have been left on the side whilst the other was cooked. Wine was £29-00 a bottle, staff were very friendly.

Good size room, very clean with fast Wi-Fi, Continental breakfast was in room when arrived.

The kitchen was closed so had to find elsewhere to eat.

Excellent accommodation although a little further out of town than we expected.

The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and it was good to have a fan in the room. The toiletries were of good quality as was the hairdryer. The one member of staff that we saw was very helpful and friendly. There were spare glasses and books available so you could just help yourself. A lot of thought had been put into the small details which make a stay more comfortable.

We didn't realise that this was a local pub - we should have looked more closely at the photos - so it was a bit noisy at night especially as a lot of people were enjoying the weather outside. Having said that, the pub closed early, even at the weekend, so it wasn't too much of an issue. The walk into town was further than we expected but, on our second day, we did use the bus. They run frequently and the stop is just a few minutes walk away.

Just what we needed.

Being able to park on site was important to us and a great benefit. Friendly and helpful staff, very good coffee machine with plenty of coffee pods, breakfast supplies refreshed every day and extras available if needed. Non dairy milk supplied too. Great atmosphere in the pub and good ale at the bar, but pity we missed forthcoming beer festival.

An excellent bolt-hole in Norwich. Perfect for a city break.

Great location near family. I felt very comfortable. The rooms are above the bar but noise was not a problem and I felt that staff were available if I needed them. Lovely and I’ll definitely visit again when next visiting family in the area.

I thought the room was great value and very nice. Ot was comfortable, and had everything you wanted. The continental breakfast was a lovely touch too. Nice toiletries and a roomy bathroom

Nothing just couldn't sample the pub or its food as they had a quiz on andvto saybitcwss rammef was an understatement. We were suggested another venue for dinner which was excellent but a shame we couldn't get in tbe pub

Relaxing, peaceful stay at the Rosebery

Our stay at the Rosebery was fantastic. Lovely large clean room, with excellent shower, lots of breakfast goodies, and thoughtful touches like gluten-free options. Beautifully decorated and furnished with a comfy bed. Good value for money. Great vegetarian meal there the evening we arrived and friendly staff. The pub is popular with a family-friendly feel, but the rooms themselves were quie, and the pub closes at 11pm. As was the tree lined street where it is located. It was such a relief to stay there after a week of travelling around the region for work and staying in substandard and noisy accommodation. We didn't want to leave the Rosebery, which is the highest compliment you can pay a place!

There was nothing we didn't like in fact we picked up some ideas for use in our own holiday let! A couple of suggestions would be coasters to protect the furniture from hot drinks, and a standard lamp in case guests wanted to read or work at the table. Otherwise, we liked the soft and soothing lighting.

Quiet location on a narrow street. Parking for guests available. Good “locals” pub with welcoming staff offering great selection of ales & beers as well as good food, Sunday roast one of the best, booking is advisable for this. About 25 mins casual stroll into Norwich city centre but good pubs and bars along the way.

Old single glazed sliding sash windows need attention. Ropes broken so windows don’t stay open. Consider secondary glazing perhaps? Bathroom a bit slap dash so could do with some TLC. Too much plastic used for trims. Shower was ok though

Comfortable, clean and spacious room. Even better, the pub is good with lots of different beers and wines and the food is excellent. Run by nice and engaging people who couldn’t be more helpful or friendly.

I know it’s hard for them to provide a cooked breakfast because the pub’s not open in the morning - if you want one there’s a cafe at the top of the road.

Extremely welcoming and lovely stay

Clean, nicely decorated and warm room. TV, coffee maker, lovely breakfast in room with GF options + oat milks, plenty of extra bits if needed. TV had Netflix and Disney plus accounts already on. Above a lovely pub (30min walk out of norwich). The pub had great food and board games to play. Amazing for the price!

The bathroom had a slight smell of damp, not really an issue though as it was very clean.
