A perfect budget-friendly stay to explore both Norwich and the surrounding area

Golden triangle rooms are located within easy reach of Norwich city centre and within walking distance of the University of East Anglia (UEA). The area is quiet, residential, and popular with students. There is also a good selection of pubs, restaurants and shops close by. The single room was well presented, kept clean and tidy, and featured a flat-screen TV, a desk, an armchair, and storage drawers for clothes. There is also a communal kitchen with all appliances, including a washing machine and dryer. During my stay, I was looked after by both the owner and a staff member, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and provide me with any help I needed. I would therefore highly recommend Golden Triangle Rooms.

There were people in the room when we arrived. No one answered the phone and I had to find alternative accommodation. Probably the worst experience I've had with booking

We arrived and we left within 5 minutes.

The location is great.

The accommodation not so much. The booking system was a nightmare of continued incessant texts and reminders, even after completing the registration. When we arrived, the house had a weird smell that was part wet carpet, bleach and mildew. The front door lock had been duct-taped and looked like it had been kicked in. My co-traveller was so uncomfortable with idea of staying that she insisted we leave.

Basic, clean and comfortable

The building was unmanned akin to an airbnb with entry via a door code system. The facilities were basic as I expected for the price, but the room was spotlessly clean, the bed very comfortable and free wi-fi included. There is a handy food pub immediately opposite and a chippie just around the corner. You can park right outside on the road and there are electric buses into the city centre from the main road just two minutes walk away. Administration and communication was excellent and there was someone helpful on the end of the ‘phone when I had a question. Very handy and well organised.

Mostly comfortable, good location, a little over-priced

The location of the house is great, close to the centre and in a quiet street. Staff were helpful with check-in and messages. Nice decoration in the room to give it a homely feel.

As with many other reviews for this property I didn’t appreciate arriving to the room and finding a tiny amount of toilet paper provided. Had to request more. The room was relatively comfortable however the house itself is noisy - you can easily hear the other guests and there was a bit of a damp smell. I appreciate that the house is Victorian, however for a 3-star listed accommodation at a rather expensive price I expected more privacy and cleanliness. Additionally, I was asked to pay a £50 deposit which was not made clear when making the original booking. This was refunded smoothly however.

First visit to golden triangle

Nice quiet residential location with good pub serving food very nearby. Parking on the road was ok. Nice ensuite and shower. Comfy bed.

Kettle to make tea or coffee would be nice. Why not clean and tidy small pets allowed? I stayed for 2 nights, just wonder why did they come in after the first night and empty the bin, change the towels and take a paper I had left on the bed?

Comfy and peaceful.

We have stayed here before and we always enjoy a stay here. The property is divided between short stays and longer term residents which gives a more homely feel. We got our beds and the twin room & we both felt very at home. We were well taken care of by Lukie & the team who were very prompt with our enquires. Excellent location. Walkable to St Benedicts and city center. Belle Vue and Connaught Kitchen and good chippy all around the corner.

The security doors while obviously necessary seal shut quickly & we were having to lodge shoes etc in there every time we just wanted to pop out to bathroom etc.

Disappointing

Location and ease of parking.

I was expecting a bathroom of my own. The website is misleading as it says 'private bathroom'. No tea facilities in bedroom so had to use communal kitchen, but there was no milk. No private bathroom, and communal shower didn't work on last day. No headboard on bed either which made relaxing difficult whilst watching TV. Bit gutted really as I'm looking for somewhere regular to stay in Norwich. Misleading advert was the biggest issue. Hope the owner can get this resolved before I return to Norwich.

The rooms are clean and fresh. The hotel owners are soo friendly and helpful. I felt safe and homely as a person with anxiety it was very lovely. I have been there twice now

Location is good. Entry to the property was easy (keyless, coded, no need to call someone). Quiet neighborhood even on a weekend. The bed is comfortable.

Dirty everywhere, I hesitated a lot before making a cup of tea. Other occupants seem to have issues. Way too expensive for what it offers. Parking was challenging.

I have used Golden Triangle for months I work in Norwich and I work hard and only get a few hours sleep before the mobiles go but I always get a few hours decent sleep

Apart from no-one making me a full English I totally recommend booking with any of the properties
