Great spot near the train station for travelers.

Great location for stay to take tour of Parma cheese and prosciutto processors. Great café next door. Fantastic meals both at bottled hotel's own restaurant and at recommended place a short walk away. Comfortable, clean, and they held our bags after checkout so se could take a tour.

Close to train station

Staff was rude. Plenty of front desk people and cannot say they will be right with. But can talk amongst themselves. Were rude when I explained no AC and mildew issue in shower. Yelled out Italian law says they don’t need to have AC only heat. They were ready with that answer as soon as I told them about the AC. Still a mildew issue in shower. They were hesitant on giving me another room. Rooms are dirty. Elevator floor is dirty and not kept

Location was okay.

Just wasn’t clean. Upon arrival we actually noticed that there were human faeces on the bathroom wall by the toilet paper. Had to ask reception twice to have it cleaned or be moved.

Staff were helpful but a good few issues with customer service and air conditioning needs investment.

Some of the staff were helpful. We had several issues and some staff did their best while others fobbed us off. The roof top pool and bar is definitely a key attribute. The breakfast staff were very nice and helpful.

I have to highlight the air con issue. I realise it was over 30 degrees but some rooms do not have adequate air con. We complained a few times and then we eventually requested a new room. This is not ideal mid-way through a stay with a young child but the other room had better air con.

Basic but centrally located. Another option might be better.

The location is very central. There is parking on site but no ability to reserve a space so unfortunately it was full when we arrived.

No parking available when we got there, the staff seemed pretty clueless and when we checked out we couldn’t park to load the suitcases into our car outside because the hotel restaurant’s own van was parked outside in the middle of their three spaces reserved for loading/ unloading. The bedding was grey and stained, the room looked tired and in need of some TLC and care. Basic facilities that need updating.

When I arrived at the hotel I slept for about 2 hours. I woke up freezingand called around 8:30 p.m the reception and asked to increase the temperature in the room because the air conditioning was not working and there was none other heating in the room, except the air conditioning and a radiator in the bathroom that didn't work. The heater in the bathroom was also ice cold and could not be activated! I asked for a small electric heater. That wasn't possible either. Of course, moving to another room wasn't successful because the heating didn't work there either. Since the hotel staff were no longer able to increase the room temperature or heat the room, I decided to change hotels. I arrived at the Grand Hotel de Parma around midnight. In Parma It was 8 degrees outside that night. The room without heating felt round 14-15 degrees. I spoke to Novotel staff and asked about cancellation but that wasn't the case I wasn't willing to pay for the entire night for the 2-3, as was required by the hotel. I spent 3 hours in a cold room. If I pay there would be no problems, the hotel staff told me. I wasn't willing to spend money for a three hour stay I would wake up sick the next day if I stayed. The payment was therefore made subject to reservation without being recognized legal obligation. I payed 108,- € for 3 hours. For a cold room. I didn't agree with this, but since the hotel management supposedly couldn't reach the management to make a decision, the staff forced me to pay the amount. During the heating period, usually from October 1st to April 30th, a minimum temperature in the room must be between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius I planned to go out to eat and enjoy Parma after a short break at this evening. Unfortunately this was no longer possible for me! The guest's wishes are not taken seriously. The answer of Mr. Konate, the Manager of this Hotel: if you want to take a legal action you can , we will reply. we did the necessary.

Clean, convenient room at a great price!

It room was extremely comfortable. The location was excellent - 3 minute walk from the train station, 10 minute walk from the city center.

The furniture was kind of "low to the ground." Not to my liking but it didn't effect our experience.

Nice hotel in a central but SLEAZY area next tothe station wiht the BEST RESTAURANT IN TOWN but dont book room 622!!

Room was simple but very comfortable. The STAR ATTRACTION HERE IS THE PARMESAN RESTAURANT. . By FAR the best dinner we had in Parma. EXCELLENT food and skilled old fashioned wonderful service Angela at the odd reception desk (looked like internet station for guests) was very helpful and very nice and spoke the best english at the desk. The other stars of this hotel was Elise who had a great knowledge of wine and the Maitre d’hotel in the parmesan restaurant.

NEVER EVER TAKE ROOM 622 The maids bang the doors to the laundry rooms which backs onto this room and the bed shakes every time they do this every few minutes. We had an AWFUL NIGHT when room 649 the adjoining room wiht an adjoining door was taken over by a Nigerian DRUG DEALER for the night who played HIS MUSIC FULL BORE. Reception did nothing i had to go and bang on his door at 630 am on a Sunday.

Great choice for visiting Parma! Go there for the amazing staff!!!

The hotel staff and even the restaurant staff are extremely friendly, helpful and just amazing all around. Example, on our departure day, instead of having to go out and buy ice for our cooler to get our Italian food goodies home, the restaurant staff happily helped fill our cooler with ice from the hotel bar. Another example, we had some issues with our AC and the front desk staff were always receptive and tried to help. Lastly, the location is also very convenient, being just outside the old city made it easy to walk in but still easy to drive in and out of. To talk into old town where the action is took only about 10-15 mins, but your mileage may vary, depending on how fast you walk. There's a parking garage onsite, but it was full when we got there, so we parked at a covered garage closed by. Was only 5 euros per night so very reasonable and we felt the car was quite safe. Only thing with that garage is that you have to drive out via this spiral and is tight even for European standard...

As mentioned in the good, we had a little issue with our AC, it was during a very hot period we were there and at night when we were trying to sleep it got to 25.3 Celsius, which in my opinion is a little warm for comfortable sleeping for someone not from the south. The staff tried and was not until the last night we got it down to 24. So I recommend if you like it cooler, ask the staff to try a little more aggressively to adjust, is all controlled centrally.

Whilst we had a relatively pleasant stay, breakfast really let it down

Really Disappointed in the breakfast We went to breakfast at 7.45am and there were no hot eggs left although there was bacon & sausages ( the only other hot dishes) When we asked if there were more Scrambled eggs to come out they advised NO Whilst we were there there was at least 24 other diners for breakfast that came in let alone others from 8.15 to 10am Really disappointing especially for a Novotel facility that I have stayed many times previously in Australia

The location is in a walking distance from the city. If you are taking a car. They charged 18 per night.

The staff at the front desk when we checked in was very confusing about our booking. Even we showed them the printed copies and a conversation we wrote to the reservation team a week before we arrived. We are a group of 7 (6 adult and 1 child). Since we cannot put the name of the 3 guests who are family together in a room through booking.com system, so we write to notify the reservation team who answered that this can be solved at check in. However, they just got so confuse and refuse to give the room for 3 persons to the group member who are family and give the room for 2 person for another 2 guests instead. Also, once we booked in Feb 2023. The information stated that they got parking available and do not say any fee. However, we found out later that it is 18 euros per night and we cannot make reservation. Maybe because it is the summer peak season?
