Relaxing haven in the center of Parma

Very clean, bright and comfortable hotel, in a nice, open location facing the river and only a few hundred meters from the very heart of Parma. We were lucky enough to find a parking space in the small car park in front of the hotel. The staff was very helpful. Nice to have some refreshments in the hall itself. The check out at midday was extremely convenient, because it allowed us to spend more time in town without having to move the car.

The Hotel is located in a ZTL area, which could prove a bit tricky. Luckily enough, the fact of checking out late in the morning allowed us to take full advantage of our stay,

Comfortable, convenient, equipped, friendly.

All one could expect from a hotel room. Pretty good view. Parking at front of hotel was very convenient. Breakfast plentiful and varied. Short walk to city centre. Staff very good - recommended restaurant (Trattoria Corrieri, round the corner) was very good.

Apparently, our booking was for a slightly different location (something I had not noticed / was not informed of on the booking form). However, due to building work, we were reallocated to the main building. I do not know if I would give as good a review for the alternative accommodation. ZTL zone was intimidating, but staff guided us well.

2 days at PARMA

The hotel is very well located (10 min walking), close to the historic district, in front of the Parma River. The breakfast is good and it is worth 10E.

The hotel has 2 buildings and it was not clearly (pay attention if you choose separete building or not. I did not pay attention and choose the lowest price) The bedroom is very nice but the place is isolated (about 500 m from the main building). There is no reception (so the safety is weaker). I had no problem but it was summer time (so there is light up to 21 h).

A well located hotel let down by poor management.

This is a well located hotel on the very edge of Centro Storico and very easily walkable (5mins) to the centre. The room was small but adequate for 2 people, parking at the front of the hotel ( on hotel land) for free was a real bonus.

The reception staff were uncaring. Our room was very hot and the staff explained that due to local regulations the air con couldn’t be turned on. This lead to 2 very uncomfortable nights with the staff quite untroubled by our plight. In my view the hotel did not provide the contracted service which was for a comfortable nights sleep. I’ve stayed at plenty of Accor hotels worldwide before but this was the very worst in terms of customer support. I wouldn’t stay here again as the staff just don’t care.

Disappointing. Won't go there or any other Ibis hotel again.

Nothing really

We were put in a ŕoom in an annexe about 10 mins walk away. There was no information in the room and the display on the Aircon said the filters needed cleaning. When we booked in the receptionist told us we had accessed the hotel via the wrong direction and we may be fined for passing a camera. We were told to phone a number to make sure we were not fined. We asked the receptionist to phone for us (she had our details and car registration) but she refused. That day was a public holiday so we were told to ring the next day. We don't speak Italian and the phone was answered by someone who didn't speak English. We were due to leave the next morning so we returned to the hotel from the annexe and again asked them to phone on our behalf. The (different) receptionist refused. Eventually they emailed to say we should email the camera company as they would be able to translate our message. So we did. The camera company came back quickly to say that they checked their records and they had no record of our car. This is possibly because the access restrictions were amended for the public holiday.

Nice, cool, air conditioned room waiting for us! Found out that because we parked at the main building, we could leave the car overnight for free :) Morning coffee & juice were tasty. Friendly staff that know the area and are eager to share their favourite spots.

I was in the annexe which turned out to be part of what appears to be some sort of theatre building. The room was stark, uninviting, just awful. No facilities at all, not even tea / coffee making stuff. Only thing there was a couple of bottles of water - but without even a glass. This has got to be the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in.

room was clean and had all basic necessities

no air conditioning and room was hot when we arrived, had to leave balcony door open to get air. room was not in same building it is located about 8 minutes walking dianta ce away and had to walk our suitcases through traffic area. no security or hotel personnel in the separate building. no parking even though we wrote ahead that we had a vehicle. the pay parking garage was full and had to go back to hotel to ask about parking and they do have a private garage that we had to pay for.

is Ok but..

The room was ok, nothing special but was clean and spacious.The only thing was that our room was part of another building which is quite far from the main building , at least for us, at least 2 blocks away . The hotel doesn’t provide any assistance/help to get the luggages to the other building so we had to carry our things for at least 15-20 minutes. Also staff in the reception not informed well what amenities provide in the room such as water and if there just a fridge . further more No coffe or tea is provided in the room.

Desrespeitoso.

1- The attendant did not accept my boyfriend's Portuguese residence permit, even though this is the document we use throughout the trip everywhere and is an official identification document. 2- When I was charged, I was very uncomfortable because they asked for my physical card and held it behind the counter for a while. 3- We stayed in the separate building and it was not bad, the room was comfortable. However, I think this should have been warned beforehand. My boyfriend has a problem to walk and besides the fact that we walked further than expected, there was no elevator to the first floor (when you press 1 it goes straight to 2), which was terrible.
