City Center Golden Roof 8

This is a comfortable flat in an old building, centrally located but quiet. It has a balcony and backs onto other buildings, so ideal for the heatwave, as it didn't get direct sunlight all day. This also meant that although the street outside might be quite busy with diners, tourists and entertainers, we heard none of it - just the cathedral bells! There are lots of restaurants, bars, cafes and tourist attractions within walking distance in this pedestrian area; the river Inn is just round the corner. Many buses and trams serve the Museumstrasse nearby or the other side of the pedestrian shopping area on Mariatheresienstrasse. There is a lift so the trip up to the third floor is easy. The bedroom is a very generous size, with a dressing area - just mind the step down into the room! The other bed is in the lounge, separated out from the living area by a room divider (as seen in the photos). The kitchen has kettle, oven, toaster, Tassimo machine, fridge with small freezer compartment. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and, though we were warned that the hot water heater meant supplies were not unlimited, we had no problem running out while we were there. There is no television (we knew this before we booked), but wifi is available. Mobile signal on A1 (and, I think, T Mobile at one point on roaming) was fine for me inside. There is also a large floor standing fan. The hosts are friendly and the staff at the cafe on the ground floor helped us, too - we arrived just before check in time and they got in touch with the hosts to see whether the flat was available (it had just been cleaned and the cleaner still had the key at that point).

For the privacy of the second bed, it would be good if there were a curtain over the glass door to the lounge, but this is a minor detail. Be aware that this is an old building, so there is a limited number of electrical sockets in the lounge.

1. For the coffee machine - i had to go to four different supermarkets to find the appropriate capsules. And it turned out to be a type of Nescafé- not espresso. Perhaps the worst coffee i have drunk in my life. It would be more environmentally sustainable to get a simple Mokka machine or a french press - and this would offer your guests a much better quality and it would be easier to find the suitable type of coffee. 2. the floor of the apt was not very clean.

Die Lage war direkt in der Altstadt und damit für einen kurzen Städtetrip ideal

Die Küche war nicht wie beschrieben "voll ausgestattet" (nur 2 große Kaffeetassen vorhanden, keine Eierbecher, kein Geschirrtuch....), das Haus verfügt über mehrere Wohnungen und die Beschilderung der gebuchten Wohnung war nicht ausreichend, so dass man nicht wusste welche der Wohnungen einem gehört (fehlt Wohnungsnummer oder genauere Beschreibung)
