Well equipped simple little place to get your head down

Clean. Simple. Nice and easy. Plenty things added in like bottles of water, kettle, hot chocolates. 10 minute walk into town

Good value-for-money in the bungalow room; do take ear plugs (thin walls!)

The room (in the Balmoral bungalow) was very clean and tidy, and a decent amount of room, and a comfortable bed. Bathroom was equally clean; the hot water did take some time to come through in the morning, but once running was a great temperature and water pressure.

Breakfast could have used a non-dairy milk option, as it rendered the cereal useless! I will say the walls are very thin: take earplugs. I understand other guests's TV and music is outwith the hotel's control, but perhaps a sign requesting noise is kept to a minimum after 11pm or similar would help, as noise in the next-door room was very loud.

Lovely stay here, staff are very friendly and helpful, it's situated within walking distance to the theatre, town centre and all the interesting places for Robert Burns. Had to pick up keys and have breakfast next door at the Caledonian which wasn't a problem, breakfast was lovely and filling.

Disappointed, doesn't live up to 4* name

Beds were comfy and heating was good, nice warm room. Pool was closed for maintenance but I did use the small gym and steam room

Thin walls can hear next door tv, and the shower was bad. Had to wait for hours for warm water i tried few times between 4 and 6 across my 3 night stay and must of been too busy so no hot water had to sit in dirty work clothes for hours. When it finally warmed up pressure was very low

Direct access to room. Sitting area, fridge, warm & comfortable on a blustery day. Breakfast was piping hot & plentiful. Service was warm & friendly.

Description on room was misleading as its not 2 separate bedrooms. It's necessary to pass through the twin room to get to the double or the toilet. No storage in twin & nowhere to hang wet jackets. Also only one mirror (in bathroom) caused delays in 4 adults getting ready.

The worst experience of b&b in my lifetime

The staff were very helpful and pleasant and had shown great sympathy when we reported the issue to them.

The dirty bathroom and no running cold water ie potable water. Wasn’t able to control the temperature of the shower or the basin they are just scalding all the time therefore I had no shower or shave and had to wash with the towel Only one 500ml bottle of water in the room that we had to use to clean our teeth.

Suite was spacious and comfortable. The rooms were clean but the furniture was a little tired. The light over the mirror in the bathroom was not in working order, but the bathroom was very clean and good to use. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were good and helpful.

Would not have been able to access our room without a helpful guest

Room was clean and comfortable but.....

Guesthouse didn't advise us of the check-in procedure outside hours 23:00-00:00 even though we had advised them of late check-in and confirmation that it was allowed. The only reason why we were able to get access to our room was one of the guests noticed us and noted there was the last set of keys for the lock box. The shower drain does not drain very quickly and is prone to flooding. Check-out process was to go to the hotel next door and hand in keys? Can't say because we also don't know what the checkout process was as we handed it to a staff member, Nina?

Incredible value. Basics absolutely fine

We booked this stay online just 30 minutes before arrival after deciding to break our journey. The room was perfectly adequate for our needs - comfortable bed, good tea and coffee facilities, and decent (but small) shower. Room was clean

General external and internal aspects of the building were dates and a little bit shabby, but this did not matter for a visit of our nature, and the essential fscilities were all there

We found the Glenlossie guest house to be clean and staff very friendly and helpful but it definitely needs some TLC, some areas were of low standards and need up grading.

Damp in rooms. Damp bedding, clothing got damp overnight. Damp smell. Outdated bathroom / shower. Shared Bathroom flooded overnight, causing wet carpet throughout.

good location near the railway station, value for money paid, breakfast excellent.

Breakfast was excellent. Hot and varied items and plenty of it. Clean and comfortable bed with fresh towels and toiletries. Provision of drinks and nibbles.

Feel the decor let the place down. The paint of our door (room 1) was badly peeled making it look derelict. A nice fresh refurb would make a difference to first impressions. Shower room fine but corner sink very small and low and hardware all loose.

Shower good; spa bath; apartment size not bad; location ok; parking satisfactory.

Very dirty throighout, tles cracked severely moving when walking on them and sharp in multiple places; Mould and large paint defects in shower; frayed carpets in multiple spots and parts of carpet removed/ damaged; main door lock loose and hard to open; Noisy with creaking from room next door; sleazy looking clientele; staff nonchalant & not helpful; internet not strong, cooked breakfast poor standard; strong old smoke smell in room; beds hard and uncomfortable; pillows lumpy; towels frayed and old and small.
