Rivendell

Clean, comfortable, good breakfast . Friendly host. Link to Renee mackintosh

The distance to the town, whilst we knew it was a 20 min walk, the weather made the walk quite difficult , with wet leaves not cleared on footpaths and cars speeding through puddles to soak pedestrians. Not rivendells fault at all but worth mentioning if staying during autumn/ winter months

Location and price were ideal for my needs.

Entry system

Good location for what we wanted to do. Lovely breakfast.

The cold tap in bathroom vibrated badly every time it was used. The radiator in the room vibrated at times!

Location and it had free on site parking

It looks very run down Carpets are clearly very old Rooms smell musty and very cold bed is so hard we both have back ache and are tired due to lack of sleep. There is none on site to welcome you or deal with any issue although a number is given once in the room. You cannot eat or drink anything in the room other than the biscuits and tea coffee supplied or you will be charged a cleaning fee made very clear in the not so welcome book. Very dark cold and sad hard to see where you are going on staircase apart from two lamps on hstair case posts. Breakfast was basic one lad on his own to cook clean and serve he was doing good job with poor quality products we didn’t have breakfast second morning. One water bottle between the two of us we stayed two nights. Shower needs some work broken seals and mould visible. Tv does not work goes fuzzy. Not value for money Has potential to be so much better.
