Aber Holiday Rentals

Basically a very nice room in a large private house complete with modern furnishings, excellent shower/bathroom. Very good external lighting with large windows - a personal preference. No cooking facilities but there are eateries in town and takeaway nearby. Plenty of car-parking in the area and you may be able to park on the driveway if space permits. Inverness city centre is just a bit far away for a walk so you will need to drive in. Didn't seem to be a lot of places to eat for what is regarded as the 'capital of the Highlands'. Also quite packed out with other tourists but we stayed here as a base for daytrips to places like the Black Isle, Cawdor Castle and Culloden (all well worthwhile). Premises are easy to find and well located for all the main routes you might want.

Just a personal gripe: the designer basin in the bathroom about big enough for a rubber duck. Try and wash anything bigger than your duck and water goes everywhere.! Don't take this seriously as a reason not to book a very comfortable stay with a friendly welcome.

It was pleasant and located conveniently to the main area but in a quieter location.

Not much space for 2 people and luggage and while there was a fridge and microwave they were stashed in a cupboard. There was no common room or space.

Set out perfectly. Very clean very friendly.

Nice room and facilities with a great view out of the window. I also liked the shortbread and the coffee bags provided. I had a great nights sleep so the bed was really comfortable. I got a free upgrade to a more expensive room. The owner immediately turned off the loud TV downstairs when I asked him to turn it down.

There was some miscommunication and the room wasn't ready for me when I arrived. Even though I thought I spoke to the host about it over the messaging system. I was moved to a different room but this was prepared hurriedly and wasn't cleaned properly. The bed and bathroom were hairy and looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the last occupant. The owner's TV was on downstairs and could be heard in my room stopping me from sleeping until I asked him to turn it down.
