Large room with a great view in a fabulous location!

The location was fabulous! The walkway along the River Ness was a minute away; there was a lovely park right across the street! There were two excellent restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. And, especially appreciated—off street parking!!! The owner was delightful and very helpful. She helped us get a taxi and provided excellent dining suggestions. The breakfast was first-rate: the best bacon we had on a three week trip!

The shower was very small, but serviceable.

Amazing location, amazing host, cozy and clean room.

My husband and I honeymooned in Scotland for a week, and this was hands down our favorite place to stay. From the breakfast, the hospitality, to the conversations with the family that owns it, everything was amazing. We would absolutely come back and stay here, and highly recommend it to everyone visiting Inverness. It's also a great location and such an easy walk to the main area of restaurants and bars!

Excellent value for money, perfect location and lovely host.

Lovely location with views of the River Ness and just a 5 minute walk along the river to the centre of Inverness. Family room was very comfortable and the pillows were soft. Very handy having a fridge in the room as well. Breakfast was extra but exceptional value for money and Camilla had our breakfast requests cooked to perfection!

The car park was gravel which is tricky if travelling by motorcycle.

We loved the riverside location and glorious views, our spacious room was great and my mum loved the tartan soft furnishings. Delicious breakfast with excellent coffee and lovely service from Camilla.

Cavel House for lovely stay in Inverness.

Superb location…good room, though needs some repair. The wooden floor croaks and groans while walking on it making loud noise. That apart, everything else was impeccable. The River Ness flows just across the road and a lovely green patch and as you walk buy, you can pick your choice of restaurants!! The land lady Camilla was cheerful and highly cooperative. She makes and delivers, all by herself, yummy breakfast. My wife needed some special breakfast preparation and she very kindly obliged us with exactly as requested. I would always recommend my friends to stay in Cavell House in Inverness. The room was quite comfortable; Heating worked well and we were told that electric heated blankets are available if needed. We didn’t need though. Very clean bathroom with right amenities made the stay pleasant.

Lovely friendly host. Room was well appointed- the kettle/fridge were exactly what needed. Bathroom was spotlessly clean and shower always hot and powerful. Nice view out towards the river and the city. Delicious home-cooked breakfast which was also great value for money.

Bed was a little soft for my liking but that’s a bit of a personal preference. Only other request would be homemade jams or marmalade with breakfast, the jam option was the only thing not quite in keeping with the general (high) standard of produce. But that is being picky!

Beautiful B&B near the Ness River

Camilla, the owner and your host, was just so pleasant. She makes you feel like you’re a friend visiting from out of town. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and a good value. Nice hot showers. On site parking as well.

The location is ideal with a short walk into the centre, with beautiful views of the river. The hostess is a lovely lady who makes you feel very welcome. The breakfast was amazing, and well worth the extra cost. Parking for guests is also a bonus. Definitely would stay again.

Spacious room, loved the Scottish decor, fantastic shower, lovely view of the park. Friendly host and very good included breakfast. 15 minutes walk from centre of Inverness, with riverfront path and a fun brewery on the way.

We loved Cavell House and found the proprietor to be kind, friendly, very helpful and a great cook! I was feeling a bit queezy from the ride to Inverness and she made me a delightful cup of ginger tea. She made us an early breakfast on the day we had to leave and made taxi arrangements. The bed was so comfortable and we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this property!
