The Marmara Pera

The hotel was nice and the location was very convenient. Beds were very comfortable and bottled water was provided daily which was nice.

I didn't like the front desk staff, they didn't speak English which made it was difficult to ask questions and they seemed a little rude to be honest.

brilliant location in the heart of Pera - lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. The view from the rooftop is lovely but the rooftop pool is very small and tends to be full from early morning. A good breakfast is provided each morning.

we arrived very early and had notified the hotel in advance. We were somewhat surprised to be offered a room - albeit on the 3rd floor that we could have immediately. We weighed up the options of low floor and poor view but accepted it as we were exhausted from travelling all night. Unfortunately about 1 hour after putting our heads on the pillow - construction started on the room next door/above. Loud jack hammer and saw type construction. We pointed this out to the manager - who refused to re-accommodate us until the next day. I understand that they do not want to remake 2 rooms - but my main disappointment was that they gave us a room that was obviously vacant for a reason. It was was a disappointing start to an otherwise pleasant stay.

Everything was good/clean/great location. Staff was nice and generally ok.

Not great Price Ratio for this value. It could be much cheaper compare to room/bathroom quality. The advertised Pool is just very small/a bit dirty and have very few places only.
