Pera Palace Hotel

The young lady at the front counter was super helpful on check in . Then the young man that showed us to our room took a moment to ensure we were happy with the room , and settled in. Breakfast was nice. The bar was nice and quiet place to have a drink. Location good but no great views from room Room spacious and nice historical items displayed in each floor of hotel

This hotel is living history where with many famous guests and heads of state graced this hotel's rooms in the 20th century. Hotel has been modernized to a wonderful standard without losing any of its former grace and charm. Our room was large, quiet, and exceedingly comfortable with wonderful views.

We loved our stay. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of.... especially the waitstaff at breakfast. My only very minor complaint is that the hotel Wi-Fi was intermittent and slow.

The hotel interior looks over an open inner courtyard so when there are events such as weddings, the noise travels up to all the rooms overlooking this courtyard as the dining room is down there below. During our stay of 3 nights, there were 2 different weddings and so each night we were kept awake until 1am. The staff don’t seem to care about that or the paying guests, only the wedding. The airconditioner in the room didn’t work despite me calling reception many times. The water pressure in the shower terrible We changed rooms because of the noise and the aircon and water pressure were better. However the noise from the latest wedding was the same. It’s basically a wedding hotel. If you’re not there for the wedding DO NOT stay here unless noise doesn’t bother you which it won’t for many guests. We left this hotel to stay at the Ciragan which is 20 times better.
