First thing to say is that the staff are amazing, absolutely amazing! They communicated to us and amongst themselves at an extraordinary level. They were the ‘best’ part of our stay in Istanbul. There are better, more up market hotels in Istanbul I’m sure, but I doubt any would come near to the level of service, attention, friendliness and local knowledge of the team at The Westist.
I would like a few more shelves for storage

Fabulous stay at the Westist. Couldn’t recommend it more. Very obliging staff especially Dogu and Sinem. Location is perfect near Taxsim and Karikoy. Close to Istiklal Street but off a side street and actually very quiet. Amazing spa and hammam with very good rates. Will definitely return. 5 stars!

Great location - that's pretty much the only positive.
Really outdated! Bathroom was moldy and grout was falling apart. Towels were in terrible condition (which is ironic for a place that threatens to fine you if you stain them). Room was small, but that was the least of my problems given the very disappointing and old room, with a view of a wall. There are plenty of hotels in Istanbul and my advise is to book elsewhere.
