If you love playing golf, this may be a good choice.
The place itself is amazing on the outside. Typical French farm setting, plenty of birds and rabbits make for a very cozy feel. Staff is friendly, too.
Everything in the room felt cheap. Even though it all worked, it required fiddling to get there. For example, cheap locks made it difficult to lock the doors, which were also stuck in their frames (same with the wardrobe closet, which was hanging by a thread). Quality of the accomodation was just pretty low. Functional is not the same as pleasant. The wifi was broken. Poor mobile reception made internet difficult and i had to move outside to be able to use internet. This is a big nono for me. The swimming pool did not have any parasols and the water was cold. This made it impossible to sit by the pool and unpleasant to cool off. The breakfast is extremely limited and not worth the cost. I wouldn't recommend it but then again, there isn't really a choice because the location is fairly remote and there's no facilities to make your own. No fridge, cutleries, stove or anything of that kind. Paper cups and a water heater is all you have. It is possible I suppose, but for 15eu, i didnt bother. In terms of interior, most of the place is pretty much threadbare. Not cozy or inviting. In public spaces, plastic furniture. In private, a little better but nothing beyond functional. As for sightseeing, expect to drive 20 minutes by car to see Blois, which offers nice places, views and food. The nearby village across the bridge isn't really worth your time as there's not much to see. To be fair, i didnt explore the surrounding area as I planned but i heard there's some things to see, like castles and DaVinci's house. Maybe that's worth looking into beforehand. Overall, I'm sorry to have paid 150 a night excluding breakfast, fornthe experience. I could've handled that better.

Original, dated hotel in a peaceful and pleasant area, near a neat golf course. Close to river Loire
The room was large and comfortable. The swimming pool was very near our room. It was clean, but the water was cold, even though the outdoor temperature was around 30 C. The receptionist was charming. Breakfast was tasty and varied. On the first morning, we were the only guests. On arrival to our room, we only had one hand towel, and one bath towel for my husband and myself. We ordered more and were served promptly, but it didnt give much confidence, taking into account that we were 2 persons, and we also intended to use the pool.
We felt that the hotel didnt reach the standards for the price. Not enough towels on arrival. No internet connection in the bedroom, apart from reception area (which doubles as reception of the golf club). It was advertised as such in the website, but was a nuisance nonetheless. On the second morning, they didnt clean the room or change the soap, or add toilet paper. They did give us clean towels, though. We had some salad dishes in the golf club terrace in the evening (no hot dishes served at all). A bit pricey for just salad.

    Very dirty
😀 The towels and linens were clean. The hotel is close to Bloise
â˜č 1. The personnel is very unfriendly. 2. Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby, where you have to sit on cheap plastic chairs, even though it would have been easily possible to connect the apartments 5m away with Wi-Fi. 3. The rooms have been renovated last maybe 20 years ago and look like it, i.e. totally run down and out dated. 4. But the worst for us was the dirt everywhere, living spiders in the corners, hair from previous guests and who knows what else. IMO the room has been cleaned last several years ago. Everywhere you looked, you found it. We were running late and very tired and could therefore not look for something else, otherwise we would have never stopped here for the night. I travelled Asia as a backpacker and this was the standard I found there in cheap hostels for 5€ /night, while a room here costs 130€/night. 5. Nobody speaks English. Maybe they just do not want to understand you. Who knows.

Pleasant rooms with terraces to sit out on
The room was clean, comfortable and a reasonable size. So was the bathroom. The terrace had a couple of chairs and a table with a quiet view over the golf course. The staff were friendly and helpful and our bikes were accommodated on the terrace, locked to the fence. The dining room has a large outdoor terrace at ground level and the breakfast room is at first floor level with another terrace.
If we had had a car with us, we would probably have chosen to eat elsewhere because there was a strong and unpleasant smell of deep frying that permeated the dining terrace and part of the dining room itself. The breakfast was also expensive but there was a good range of choice.
