It could hardly have been better . A perfect dreamy old hotel.

We loved the atmosphere of this grand old hotel , the spectacular romantic dining room, with an excellent breakfast, Good large double bed and our room with a view of the château.The hotel is in a good position, easy to walk down to the Loire etc.

The seat of the WC in our (very small) bathrooom was not well attatched and slid around.

Great location

Great location. You are in the centre of town. Across the road from the castle. There are heaps of cafes and supermarkets close by. Check in is at 3pm and if you get there earlier the door is locked and you are unable to enter so keep that in mind. Also there is no parking, you have on the street or there is secure parking across the park on the other side of the street which I think is about 15euros per 24 hrs.

The room wasn't cleaned when we arrived the cleaning crew forgot to do it. so we were put into 2 seperate rooms. The hotel is old and tired looking. The rooms are nice but the photos make them look better than they are. It is a very old building but the rooms are tired. There is paint peeling from the ceiling and cracks and mould. The rooms we got didn't look like what was in the photos so disappointed there.

Great Location for Cyclists on Loire a Velo

Superb location, close to restaurants and shopping. Easy access down the main shopping street to river bike paths. Staff is superlative...very helpful! Lift makes ascent to upper floors much easier. Secure bicycle storage in work room. Great breakfast in a delightful dining room.

Halls and stairs need better illumination.

Terrible staff communication, we called and texted them through Booking.com to inform our late check in but the hotel never reply so we didn't receive the code to open the main door at midnight

Nice room in an old hotel with ancient charm and nice views

No air-conditioning in the room which resulted in us not being able to sleep during three days due to extreme heat in the room at night. The maximal outside temperature was of 31 degrees Celsius. The direction of the hotel should seriously consider equipping the rooms with air conditioning

The hotel was not ‘luxurious’ BUT it was exceptionally clean everywhere, bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and the manager was very friendly and helpful. Parking right outside the hotel was free from 18.30 until 9.00 and could be extended until 11.00 for a small fee. The hotel had a very French atmosphere and was in a perfect location to explore the beautiful city of Blois

Simple , un- upgraded room, typically 1960’s French, and all the better for it. Lovely breakfast and the breakfast room was very ‘ of the era’ , Think Maigret tv series, of the 1950’s. Superb.

Unique hotel with a great location!

The location was great! 10-12min walk from train station down hill, across the street from Chateaux Blois and a gorgeous church on the other side. Really easy to walk to the main sights and catch trains/busses to other chateauxs! WiFi was great!

Great location, fantastic value for money

Fantastic location. Super close to the central city. Basically across the road from the Royal Chateau, and very close (2-3 min walk) to a good parking garage. Breakfast selection was not enormous, but the croissant and baguettes were delicious. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

Nothing. Hotel is a little old, and some small things could be fixed, but then you would be paying much much more. For what you pay, the hotel is excellent!

A grand old lady ... while a little tired (they are renovating) she was spotlessly clean. Comfy beds. Good sized room. Close to everything. Gave a sense of stepping back in time.

Our stay in Blois was very nice but not enchanted by the hotel accommodation.

Hotel checkin was good. Lift a nice bonus as the room was located in the ‘attic’ and had low beams which I didn’t think were mentioned. In addition to that the room had paper thin walls and consequently the night we stayed had a very bad nights sleep owing to the snoring next door. On top of that although the bed was comfortable enough it was very small because of the incredibly tiny sized room. Roof top views were best taken in standing as there was little space to sit and relax other than in the teeny bed. Shower was ok and the overall decoration and cleanliness was good.

Very small cramped rooms. No fan in room.. And it was 25c. Staff said I would have free breakfast and then charged me for the two days breakfast. Even though they said it would be free. Lying staff not acceptable.

Excvellent location, wonderful staff, pleasant room

Perfectly located across from the chateau and 600 m from the rail station. The staff we're very helpful and friendly. The hotel sometimes appears a little rough around the edges, but is a true diamond. Our room was charmingly decorated and furnished. Our stay was short, but we appreciated the stop. An excellent value as well.

It's a two start hotel in an old building, depending on your tastes, budget and expectations that can be a positive or negative. For us it was an ideal stay.
