This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff treated us like royalty and were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the bar and the onsite restaurants. The dining experiences were so nice and food was exceptional that we ate all our meals here. We will be going back to stay here for just a relaxing spa vacation. It was very enjoyable. We highly recommend staying here. The location was perfect to visit so many of the castles in the area.
There was not anything about our stay that we didn't like. Enjoyed it all.

Staff excellent especially Lucie Jarry. She was extremely helpful with information with restaurants, visiting chateau’s even emailing restaurants for the next town we stayed at. Over and beyond what was expected. Beautiful friendly demeanour and always smiling. Thank you Lucie. The hotel smells beautiful as well. The porter was also very helpful and friendly

a lovely serene hotel with extraordinary staff. Always friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, the amenities were high end, spacious and that soaking tub was just magnificent. The Patisserie Kiosk was a lovely quick snack spot with the most amazing pastries--you haven't HAD a croissant if you haven't had one from that kiosk!!! The best I ever had. Would stay again--many times!
my only 'complaint' is the lack of wash cloths but I'm sure if i had asked, they would have given me one.

- Absolutely beautiful property and really great location, just a short walk from Blois' town center, with amazing views as you cross the bridge
- Lovely facilities (incl. indoor pool, jacuzzi, beautiful bar, outdoor pool), and quite enjoyable if you managed to go during quiet moments with less people around
- Friendly and helpful staff, especially in the spa!
- Breakfast was delicious and the staff there were very attentive
- I believe we got unlucky with high season pricing, but this property was not worth the nightly fee we paid, nor did we feel that the service was 5 stars, maybe 4?
- We arrived after the check-in time and having provided our arrival time in advance, but the room still wasn't ready for over 30 mins
- While we appreciated the gesture, a bag of gummy sweets for a 13 month old (age provided in advance) was not an appropriate welcome gift in the room
- On check-out, we realized we were given the wrong price for the (already expensive) breakfast by the reception staff at check-in. The breakfast food and service are good, but EUR70 for breakfast for two people isn't worth it
- A charge for parking in their relatively spacious on-site lot also seems quite unnecessary
Overall, the value for money simply wasn't there.

Loved the breakfast, loved the outdoor bar area, our room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable. The shower was awesome and so was the king sized bed.
The outdoor pool was too cold and not very big. Our room was right above the outdoor bar area and was a little noisy one night when we were trying to go to sleep.

Great hotel on the river across from the town of Blois. The room was very comfortable and the spa was wonderful. We ate in the Amour Blanc restaurant and the food was delicious. The gym was good for cardio but could have done with some free weights.
Asked for the hotel to do a couple of loads of laundry. It was our mistake not to ask the cost but also, this was not volunteered by the hotel. 200 Euros for the laundry was staggeringly expensive. It was good value for money given the quality of the hotel until we got the bill for the laundry.

Beautiful location - well kept and smart
Lots of little things that shouldn’t happen in a 5* expensive hotel:
- everything took forever to do, there’s a difference between laid back service and just very slow!
- the bathroom didn’t have a proper wall shower, just a hand held fixture on the bathtub - I’d booked a room with a shower (and the picture of the room on booking.com shows a walk in shower) - by the time I noticed it was too late to ask to move…
- the minibar contained nothing but one bottle of iced tea, there were 2 tea bags, two coffee pods and no milk. Mean.
- the room service was terribly slow and the staff on the phones spoke no English. I know, it’s France but… we ordered drinks and snacks, the drinks arrived eventually - the Olives 20 minutes later! Asked for cold milk in the morning, got steamed… just all a bit irritating.
- the manager showed us our room and made a big deal of the in-room iPad with direct chat to the front desk. I used it for a couple of requests that went unanswered and to order drinks that were never acknowledged and never arrived…
- went for a quick swim when we arrived - the Spa manager shoo-ed us out 5 minutes before the advertised closing time…
- we had dinner at Christopher Hay’s Amour Blanc. It was really poor - lacking any atmosphere, over-lit, with chaotic and slow service (one hour to get our starter) and portions so pathetically small it was laughable - the star being a complex roll of potato with our mains that was tasty but smaller than your average piece of sushi and we only had one piece each. The bill for 2 was more than €250 - I suggest you don’t go if you’re hungry or in a hurry…
- we decided against breakfast after the dining “experience” so cannot comment on that aspect of the Hotel.

Nice hotel, large area
Strange staff, everyone did for a long time, came to check in at 15:00, we were not checked in, waited 1.5 hours, did not offer lunch or cocktail..... lunch by the pool is not delicious, waiters are slow! The rooms themselves lacked cosmetics and details! Shampoo and shower gel bolted to the wall really ruined the impression!! Towels are very stiff

There is no shower closet and worse the bathtub also doesn't have a rain shower. So using the handshower results in the entire bathroom gettimg wet when u shower. Very poorly designed bathroom.

The restaurants are both upscale gastronomy outlets and FdL appears to be exist as a culinary and spar destination. We'd not realised this and expected simply a good 4/5 star hotel. Both restaurants are upscale and there's no alternative besides room service which was extremely poor quality (odd given the gastronomy focus)
We would expect a bath in a 4+ star hotel, however the shower facility was very good. Note that the spa closes at 8pm.

the whole hotel is full of flies, they are everywhere, in bed, on the floor, in restaurants it is a nightmare.
we got a very noisy room with a cracking air conditioner, the hotel could not fix it without giving us a new room.
The hotel promised to return the money and did not do this.

No proper shower in our room and air conditioning didn’t appear to work.
Restuarant service was painfully slow and once again their air conditioning wasn’t efficient, also they got my husband’s main meal totally wrong.
Our room was over the drinking area and in front of the staff cleaning cupboard, even though I did request that our room not be placed in those areas.

Еverything was great. Location, friendly staff, cleanliness.
But for the two of us, they gave us bath accessories for one person, and we were 2. and shampoo, it felt like shower gel, the hair was not even combed, it looked terrible. The coffee machine was dirty. The coffee was almost transparent, we saw a dried capsule left there, probably from previous customers.
