Lochsie Cottage

It was big, with a lot of amenities. Appreciated having a full-size living room and kitchen.

It was wet and damp, and we couldn’t get warm. There were still garbage in the bins from the last guests, and although toilets and sinks were clean, there was dust bunnies in corners. I think it has a lot of potential and will be a great place, but they’re just not there yet. Also, it was very difficult to get a hold of anybody when there was a concern. In all fairness, I didn’t have phone service, so would try to access through the app or WhatsApp. It would take a very long time to get a response if at all.

Lovely cottage in a quiet spot not too far from town. We had a great stay.

The location was perfect. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped.

The radiator did not work in the bedroom. There was some mould in the bedroom. It was sometimes difficult to find a place to park at the property.

Hmm. We had a few issues at check-in and we were unable to get any response from the management team despite phone calls (the two numbers provided), messages through Booking or WhatsApp. The next day, after another attempt, I did hear back. We are on an 8-week European trip, and this accom was our third most expensive (behind Paris and London, mind you). With that cost comes some expectations, such as the provision of dishwasher and washing machine tablets/liquid, but I was told guests are expected to supply their own. Thank goodness every other booking in our holiday has had a less frugal approach (who wants to travel with these items in their suitcases?). There was no coffee machine, just instant sachets and a plunger (buy your own beans, obviously 🙄). They did leave a bottle of white wine but we don’t drink. The bed was comfortable, the couches old and daggy. It set our holiday in Skye off on a less-than-pleasant start.
