Spacious, comfortable and good location. Property was clean and good facilities.
Too cold. The heating was not strong enough to heat up the property. Very cold all day.

Great location and comfy place.

Location short drive to Portree. Nice feel to the property. Very comfortable bedding. Well cared for.
Heating, as non UK citizens not used to the type of heating having instruction would have been helpful. Other cottages we have stayed in on Skye provide information booklets/link. Also limited space for toiletries in bathroom.

The beds were very comfortable and the property had everything we needed, perfect location.
An extra baking tray would have been useful but not required

Very clean and fresh presentation. Comfortable bed and sofas. Very well equipped kitchen. Access to management agent by phone.
tV was not Smart TV so unable to connect to on-line services. Owners agent responded superbly to phone call but we could not configure replacement TV before we left.
Instructions for appliances should be provided.

We liked everything about the property. It was beautiful and well maintained.
If it was a little closer to town it would have been ideal for us. But it was an exceptional property and well worth the short drive to town.

Generously spaced cottage, especially the living area with kitchen and the bathroom. Nicely and practically furnished with good level of equipment and decent amenities in the bathroom. Very good water supply (pressure, hot water) with good quality of water (drinking this water is perfectly fine). Very good windows which can all be opened. Separate back entrance to outside seating. Very quiet at night, but we had no other guests in the neighbouring house. We liked our stay there very much. Thank you to the property management, very friendly and frequent conversation via email.
Nothing actually, only a few minor things we would liked to be a bit more practical - e.g. shower cubicle gets very slippery once wet and there was no handle; no direct light at the mirror in the bathroom hence not really helpful for someone shaving every day. But as said minor things and purely from our perspective of course.

This little cottage exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully appointed, very quiet and the bed and linen, were exceptionally comfortable. Can't fault it. The bottle of wine in the fridge was an extra bonus.
The only comment we have, is that, there weren't sufficient tea bags and a little milk on our arrival would have been wonderful.

Well presented cottage in good location.
The host says to knock on door to house if any help required, but it's not clear which door. I chose the wrong one, which happened to be a relative. He was lovely and helped me but later it was followed by a very unfriendly and unpleasant phone call from his daughter, berating me for knocking on the door as apparently he had been in hospital that morning. She was obviously stressed but that was no excuse to take it out on a customer. I had been very unwell myself and it spoiled my experience.

Very spacious and clean, very well located with easy access to Portree
A couple of appliances were not working (dishwasher and washing machine)

A fabulous cottage just outside Portree in a lovely location with easy access the whole island. It is so cosy and comfortable with a huge bathroom with a lovely big bath and a great shower.
The bed and sofas were so comfy. A real home from home with everything you need.

We didn’t end up here, but what we saw of the property was absolutely amazing & perfect. The other property we stayed at was absolutely amazing, comfortable, clean & well care for.
There was nothing that we didn’t like.

Very high spec, well equipped, clean cottage. The bed was very comfortable, as was the settee. The shower was very good, hot, and powerful. It is good to be able to control the heating for when we needed it. The cottage was warm and cosy. In a great location for exploring Skye.
The pot holes on the approach to the cottage were very bad. A smart TV would have been nice.

The location is great, but only if you have a car. It is not walkable to Portree. The size of the rooms is nice. They left us a bottle of wine. The space was clean.
I have never written a poor review, but here are the issues we found that should be fixed.
1. The fan in the bathroom doesn't work. The plaster tape is peeling from moisture.
2. The light bulb above the bathroom sink needs changed. I called manager the 1st night and left the door to the cottage unlocked per her request for a full day. It was never replaced for the 4 days we were there making it difficult to apply makeup and shave. She had scoffed at the idea of coming to replace it, but said she would.
3. We couldn't get the towel rack to work. Asked manager to check on that, too.
4. The bathroom is very large, but the sink has no counter space and the shower is unnecessarily small (even for a small woman). There is a chair in the corner next to the sink where a small corner shelf could improved the situation. I put my toiletries above the toilet in the opposite corner of the room, fearing I might damage the chair upholstery if I placed liquids on it. This was inconvenient as I had to keep walking across the rather large room and reaching behind the toilet.
5. Only 1-1/2 rolls of toilet paper were left for 2 adults for 4 days. We bought our own as manager had never shown up for the above.
6. We couldn't find any appliance information. This would be especially good for the washer/dryer combination unit.
7. The kitchen floor has cracked and buckled so that we stubbed our toes frequently.
8. There is a dark spot in one corner of the living room that looks like mold to us.
9. It would be nice to have a recycle bin in the kitchen.
10. The sofa is getting rather soft making sitting on it uncomfortable.
11. The seal around the front door needs repair as you can see light (and feel wind) coming through around the door lock. June was cold.
Overall, the cottage needs a bit of money spent on it in order to be a good value for the money.

Space. Kitchen, big bath room
No human contact at all.

Excellent location for touring Skye.
An information pack as the tablet had not been updated to include appliances instructions. A brush and hoover would have been helpful, as we usually do this before leaving anywhere like this.

Loved the ease of the self check-in/out, it made it very convenient. The little “extras” were wonderful, and shows the property owners really care about their place and ensuring their guests enjoy the stay. We loved the space of the place, it allowed us to have our first lounging and eat in evening. And the laundry facilities were fantastic for mid-way through our journey. I’d definitely recommend this place to others. The only surprise was that it was about a 6 min drive from Portree, or about a 45 min walk along the highway from downtown.
Oh, as mentioned above, the only surprise was that it was about a 45 min walk from downtown Portree, so we were unable to walk to dinner.

Excellent location, very clean and cosy cottage. Pretty courtyard garden and access to a sunny spot at the rear.
For us the bed was a little on the soft side and the settees were very soft. Not a criticism because we are sure that for most people they would be fine!

Great big house. Everything you need is there. Comfortable bathroom and bed. Excellent stay on an excellent spot.
Although it was very nice a few remarks. It s slightly old, doors aren't closing easily and the curtains aren't dark enough, so when lights in the garden are on in the night (which they were) the bedrooms very bright. It's a shame you don't meet a host and all messages are automatically sent and don't respond on a question we had regarding garbage. Could be slightly cheaper considering you also cook your own breakfast.

Great location near Portree, beautiful garden, really spacious interior. The bathroom was huge and comfortable, and the bed really comfy. A great base to explore Skye
The wifi was terrible and intermittent, but that may be the fault of the whole island's connection.

The cottage is in a peaceful location just a couple of miles south of Portree which makes it ideally suited for touring. It is well equipped and comfortable place to return to at the end of the day. We stayed for 5 nights (out of a total of 18) and it was great to be able to self cater rather than eat in restaurants. It was also good to be able to wash some clothes as it is equipped with a washer/dryer. All in all a great place to stay whilst in Skye.

The property was even better than I had expected from the photos online - excellent facilities in the kitchen area, spacious lounge, massive bathroom, lovely bedroom and great private seating area outside. The owners had also provided a supply of all of the little things we had not taken (e.g dishwasher tablets)!
If we go back to Skye then we will stay here again.
