Perfect home-base for visiting Cape Town

It was exceptionally well equipped and we could have comfortably stayed longer. Lovely Mountain View’s from spacious the loft area and pretty garden views from the dining area.

It would have been nice to have a slightly bigger outdoor area and/or access to part of the garden but if you are out most of the day it was still a lovely area to sit outside.

It was exactly what we needed.

The quality of the accommodation, the fittings, the furnishings, etc was all really of a high standard. Views from upstairs were amazing. It was very quiet.

Not a complaint at all, but we had hardly any interaction with the hosts and minimal interaction with their assistant (who was very nice). Bit it was a bit of a 'hotel' feel. Some people like that and it wasn't a problem at all.

Nowhere to sit in the sun - gardens and pool are strictly off limits for guests. Small terrace is dark because of huge trees.

A delightful cottage in a fabulous garden setting, lovely cool shade under a banana tree in the heat of the day. Every need for self catering had been anticipated, including, a great bonus, sharp knives. Scrupulously clean and very comfortable, large and airy. Hout Bay with its beach, shops and restaurants a five minutes drive away. We would definitely recommend and hope very much to be back in the future. Thank you to Glenda the housekeeper.

The location was splendid, with mountain views. Also it is a quiet neighbourhood and in combination with the good beds we slept very well! There was enough kitchen equipment for people who want to self cater, which we appreciated. We felt very much at home here and we would definitely come back!

The host Martin was very accommodating as we needed to check in earlier due to unforseen circumstances. The location was perfect for exploring Hout bay and surrounding areas. The unit is well equiped with quality appliances and furniture.

Wish it had been possible for our stay to have been longer!

We enjoyed every minute of our short stay at Meadows Mountain View Cottage - we were met on our arrival by the very friendly housekeeper, Glenda who gave us very useful local advice. The cottage was immaculate and wonderfully clean. The secure parking was very much appreciated. Martin and his wife, the owners of the property were also very friendly and helpful.

Casa pulitissima e ben sistemata, gradevole e luminosa. Certamente la migliore del nostro viaggio di 16 giorni in sudafrica. Molto sicura e in un contesto panoramico. Comoda per visitare sia Cape town che la penisola del Capo. Glenda è gentilissima e premurosissima sia via messaggio che dal vivo. Torneremo sicuramente in caso dovessimo ripassare da Cape Town.
