The person who checked us in was extremely friendly. The room has fridge, kettle, coffee machine, small balcony, clean bathroom, everything lovely and cozy
The person who checked us out didn’t even say good morning or bye, nothing. The tv is a bit small.
The bed is uncomfortable. If you have BACK PAIN you should not book here, the bed is WAY TOO SOFT and I was awake every other hour, horrible

Good location, friendly staff
Mattresses are very, very worn out and thus too soft

Even before our arrival, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, I had to call the hotel for some information, and they assisted me right away with everything I needed. The same friendliness continued at check-in: everything went smoothly and with great vibes.
We had two rooms, one facing the inner courtyard and one facing the street, and both were really lovely. The beds were very comfortable, everything worked perfectly, and the rooms were spotlessly clean.
Although we didn’t book breakfast at the hotel, the staff gave us great recommendations for dinner and breakfast spots nearby and every tip was excellent.
The location couldn’t be better, and the entire experience was just perfect from start to finish.
Highly recommend! 🌟

Great stay, great area. Full of restaurants, artsy shops and bars.
Next door from S3 train that takes you everywhere in the city with easy access to the airport too.

Location, staff, and bathroom!
The room smelled like smoke the whole time. Other rooms seemed more modern and upgraded.

Cute decoration and easy check in
The bed was very uncomfortable and the toilet lid was damaged.

The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the train station, the staff is lovely and the room is small but comfortable with a balcony. The main problem is the noise from the train and the construction outside. Overall we had fun and will definitely be back.

Very cure hotel, high ceiling in the room, really nice decoration, I loved the bedside lights! The bed is super comfortable. The bathroom is nice and clean, good size, everything you need. There is a fridge and a small balcony looking over the busy street. The guy was super helpful and nice, every room has a different name. You get an actual key to the room, not a card! The location is very good, easily accesible by public transport, in a very busy young neighbourhood with ridiculous amount of restaurants around, also grocery stores. I had to do research, I believe the place is named after Hamburg's most famous serial killer, maybe I'm wrong, but it's a cool story if it's true. :) I should've asked! :) The water pressure in the shower is insane, I couldn't use it full, it was too much for me, but Seinfeld taught me that is a desirable thing. There is free coffee and tea, mugs, English channels on TV. Free earplugs, were not needed, but there is construction going on right outside, also the train, but it's quiet at night. Pretty cool place!
Construction right outside, it's noisy during the day. The neighbourhood can be too loud, many people walking by all the time, like thousands, constantly! Also the train, if the balcony door is open. A lot of graffiti everywhere around, which can make it seem unsafe, also you might see some weird people around. Plugs for charging phones are not convenient, we unplugged the coffee maker. The curtains are not enough, no day time curtain, we were on the first floor, so everyone could see us, not that they wanted to, but it was possible. The stairs a bit too small, curved, but that's normal in old buildings. The shower pressure was too much for me, if you want to wash your face, it would actually hurt badly! No air circulation, but there is a fan in the room. No breakfast.

Fabulous little hotel. Opposite a metro station on the U Bahn and S Bahn so very easy to get around the city - 15 minutes from hotel door to the water's edge. And the local area has tonnes of good restaurants and bars. Despite the location, it's really quiet, the windows are amazing. Comfy beds too. Oh, and if you tell them you don't want your room cleaning, you can take a beer from the mini bar for every day that's skipped!
No A/C, which could be a problem in the summer.

Fritz in Pyjama shows how boutique hotels can be accessible. It's a low budget stay with some extra perks. The focus in detail, from the naming of the rooms, until the toiletries they use, all is very thought through. Very friendly staff who goes above and beyond, and I appreciated a kettle in the room.
The hotel can get stuffy in summer. The check-in is very late, and there's almost no space at the reception in case you'd like to leave your luggage, so bear this in mind. The check-in as at 4pm, and the reception closes at 5pm, which pretty much doesn't leave you much choice, and your flexibility is limited.
The vicinity of S-Bahn line makes it a little noisier, but they provide you with ear plugs, which definitely helps.

The personnel can not be contacted after 17 o'clock by any means. This is a remarkable limitation in my opinion. Especially when there is a real need, like in my case when they forgot to send me the codes to get into the hotel. Yeah I was left out and had to book another hotel.

great location in the Schanze, friendly and helpful staff. Let us check in early high was so nice!
Room smelt like cigarette smoke. Not recent but you could tell it used to be a smoking room. wasn’t great for an asthma sufferer.

In general room was quite clear
worst was The room that we needed to change because of scaffolding right in front of the window and balcony, workers on site could look straight into our bed..
Staff changed it with worse option with no view or balcony at all for the same price!
I had just one day in Hamburg and arrived late so I had no choice.. But I'm demanding for refund and can not recommend the hotel unfortunately.

Location
Initially It was cold inside the room (heating was set to 3 of 5), that's why we switched heating on the maximum (to 5 of 5). Only one day later the temperature became comfortable for us.

Very cute and convenient location next to the S Bahn station. Good neighborhood with lots of dining. Beds were comfortable.
Room is quite small and the balcony faced the street where people smoke and would draw smoke into the room if you had the door open.

The bed not comfortable at all, old mattress and beds were twin beds placed next to each other to make a double bed. Pictures are misleading, the room looks nice in the pictures but in reality it’s pretty basic and rusty. Too expensive for the quality offered
