A True Hidden Gem - We loved it !

I spent two nights at Hôtel de la Corniche in Brest and it truly felt like discovering a hidden gem. The place has the quaint charm of a cottage, with an interior that is both warm and tastefully decorated. It is wonderfully quaint and full of character — a far cry from impersonal modern hotels. The common areas are beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches everywhere: carved wooden furniture, a vintage chandelier, a cozy fireplace, and nautical accents that remind you you're in Brittany. I especially appreciated the effort to create a welcoming atmosphere — it's a place that invites you to slow down and relax. The owner was exceptionally friendly, the kind of host who genuinely enjoys talking to his guests and sharing stories. His warm hospitality made all the difference. My room was very comfortable, with a good mattress, a large bathroom, and the toilet conveniently located separately but still within the room. The blinds on the windows were perfect for blocking out the light and heat, which is a big plus in summer. Other great perks included: • Breakfast included, simple but satisfying. • A private covered parking area, completely free of charge. • A drinking fountain in the lobby with both iced cold water and hot water for tea or coffee — such a thoughtful touch! I didn’t focus on photographing the room (which you can see easily on this site), but I wanted to share some photos of the ambience and beautiful decor so people get a better feel for the soul of the place. If you're looking for a peaceful, authentic stay in Brest, I highly recommend this hotel. I left with a smile and a sense of having stayed somewhere truly special.

Damp and musty. Location is the middle of nowhere and reception shut at 7, so had to let ourselves in. Very dated and needs a complete overhaul

A car was needed as the Hotel was quite a distance from the main areas of Brest Pity it did not have a restaurant

Quiet and a little away from the action but within walking distance. Dinner at the docks area was on the recommendation of the hotel owner and absolutely spectacular.

The location from city center is good. The room was big, quiet and clean. The size of bed for 2 people was comfortable. Nicely renovated.

Hôtel idéal pour l’arsenal de Brest à cinq minutes à pied de la porte grande rivière. Hyper accueillant, confortable, calme. Gérant adorable, efficace et aux petits soins Literie nickel, propreté impeccable.

Le chauffage avec un vieux contacteur à lames qui cliquette toute la nuit, et l’isolation phonique inexistante.

Freundlichkeit des Personals, Empfehlungen für Restaurants nebst Reservierung. Im Grunde unerwarteter Concierge. Frühstück auch gut. Die Lage ist top. Innenstadt lässt sich mit Auto oder Bus schnell erreichen. Parkplätze kostenfrei vorhanden. Was will man mehr.

De vriendelijkheid van het personeel en ook het ontbijt was ok.

De omgeving. Geen mogelijkheid om te dineren. Het zeer aftandse en verouderde interieur. Het afgeleefde bad. Geen drank te verkrijgen. De foto's zijn misleidend.

Chambre au rez-de-chaussée, l'insonorisation est perfectible (bruits du couloir, conversations à la réception) mais heureusement très calme pendant la nuit.

Parfait pour une étape de visite de Brest, d' 1 ou 2 jours.

Très bon emplacement, accueil sympathique et efficace, des conseils de restos, chambre grande, au calme, mobilier ancien de qualité, mais avec équipement moderne. Port et restos à 5 mn en voiture. Bon petit déj, simple mais complet.

Parfait pour une nuit à Brest ! Le parking gratuit à côté de l'hôtel, la chambre assez grande et fonctionnelle, la bonne literie et la gentillesse du patron.

Peut-être que la baignoire désuète pourrait être remplacée par une douche ! Cela serait judicieux. Bonne continuation !
