Good for short stay

Good location with parking - excellent for short stop when in travel. We had a family room which was nice and had great view over Villach. Beds comfy. Room - nothing fancy, rather old - but all in fine shape.

Staff were in every way fantastic, helpful, friendly. they deserve a big pat on the back. Breakfast was very good indeed with a huge choice. Hotel was incredibly clean, everywhere.

Room was small but it was a single. A bit stuffy but the outside temperature was 29+. The internal air con was effective but I can't sleep with a constant noise however quiet it was, so off it went.

Very average would expect a bit more for the money.

Good central location, breakfast was good and breakfast staff were friendly.

Charging extra to use a car park which is sitting there empty seems like money grabbing. The internet did not work most of the time. The bathroom was not especially clean lots of limescale on the taps and shower.

Large room with nice city view. Walk in shower, fridge and kettle. Great breakfast. Across road from train station and supermarket next door. Short walk to city centre. Really friendly and helpful staff.

Good hotel in the center of the town

Exellent location, very close to the centre and 15 min drive from the nearest ski lift. Free parking, good sized room, nice breakfast, kind staff. We rented three rooms and all three were next to each other, which was really nice.

Our room was too warm and we found no way to control the heat (other than opening the window, which we did reluctantly). We came for several days and the space in the cupboard was simply not sufficient to fully unpack - so we had to dress from our suitcase, not a big deal, but less comfortable than expected. If you come by car, do not be put off by the No Entry traffic signs. The small letters beneath the signs say that you can enter if you go to the hotel. There should be clear info about this in the message sent by the hotel after booking, otherwise this is quite confusing. There is no gym :(

I like this hotel. It is a bit expensive but you get a nice room with a bed and a settee. Breakfast is pretty good and it couldn't be handier for the station

Deceptive Photos Compounded by a Lie

Leaving.

The photos of the Classic Double Room lead the guest to believe that they will find a small sofa/love seat in the room. This was not true in my case. I picked this hotel and room category after much thought because I wanted to comfortably watch the World Cup football game final. Had I known that the seat in the photo wouldn’t be there, I would’ve watched the game from the edge of the bed in a cheaper room category, or probably reserved a room at a hotel with honest photos. When I complained to the front desk, they said some of the Classic Doubles had sofas and some didn’t. When I pointed out the aggressive deception of plastering their listing with photos depicting Classic Double Rooms as having small sofas/love seats—both on the main photo page, with captions reading “Classic Double Room,” and within the specific reservation link to that room category—the receptionist made a call. The answer came back that the hotel was full and there were no other rooms with sofas. I thought the hotel awfully quiet to be full, so I checked online and found available rooms in other larger room categories (see attached screenshot), which had sofa beds to accommodate the maximum number of guests. But rather than upgrading me, they chose to tell me that the hotel was full. They also chose not to give me a discount for being foolish enough to believe their pictures. I guess their business model is based on a belief that before making a non-refundable reservation, the consumer is obligated to phone ahead and ask if the pictures and labels on their hotel listing are truthful. Thus, “Will my room have the sofa that’s pictured?”…”How about that TV?”…”The window?”…”The sink?”…”The bed?” Buyer Beware.
