Wonderful stay in a scenic, quite setting

We were very happy with our room - a spacious room with tea/coffee-making facilities, a great view of the trees and greenery, and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent, and varied - we stayed for three nights and each morning were able to have something different for breakfast, and still hadn't tried everything. The hotel has a deal with the nearby spa, offering a preferential rate and they also lent us extra towels to take with us. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

I'm really searching my mind for something negative to say - there was no toilet roll holder, so the toilet roll just sat on the counter next to the handbasin.

The toilet was covered stale urine when I arrived. The breakfast was extremely poor with very few options and way over priced.

Filiz is an asset to your customer service profile without a doubt.

Filiz the receptionist was an absolute star. Our vehicle broke down and we were stranded. She made enquiries, on our behalf with hire car companies. Found an unbelievably good deal for a very large vehicle (at the weekend in France), for kids and baggage. Basically resurrected the vacation. She should be promoted or get a medal or something.

Good start, but went downhill rapidly.

We were greeted by Juliette at reception and she was very helpful, spoke very good English and very polite. Room was of a reasonable size, bathroom was clean and well appointed.

We requested an outside table for our dinner reservation as we were travelling with our dogs. We were greeted at the restaurant by a chap and were rushed into the inside seating area. When I asked for a table outside, his response was (NOT POSSIBLE)....... I explained that we requested an outside table when we made our reservation and again were told (NOT POSSIBLE, THEY ARE ALL RESERVED). When I explained that we should have a table reserved outside, he stormed off leaving us standing in the restaurant. He then pulled a table from a row of 3, threw 2 chairs and 2 menus at it and stormed off. I immediately complained to reception who seated us elsewhere and ensured we had a different server, but by then the damage was done, this single act of rudeness to myself and my wife totally ruined our entire stay. Being treated like that in a restaurant I am paying to eat in is unacceptable. This individual has no place being front of house with an attitude that quite simply stinks.

Nice hotel but a little ‘tired’

Nice outdoor spaces. Lovely lake with wildlife. Nice bar and restaurant. Lots of free parking.

It was a little ‘tired’. Cleaners needed to do windows and lift carpet. No fridge in room. No milk for tea or coffee in our room.

Unsatisfied customer

The hotel is quite average.

We had booked a room facing the golf course but on arrival we were told that there is a gala that night and music will be playing till 5 in the morning. This was the only reason for booking this hotel, to have some great view. Though we got a bigger room but facing the car park was not nice at all.

Music from disco went on until early hours so couldn’t open window. Breakfast was undercooked and not very nice. Toilet seat in bathroom was very loose

Good breakfast choice. Outside terrace for dinner. Good beds, which is why overall review is high.

Poor choice for vegetarian diets on the menu. At breakfast, orange juicer broken, toaster broken, warm pancake machine did not work- cold pancakes. Bathroom washbasin plug broken- had to remove the whole section to drain water. Toilet seat almost falling off! Overflow around on bath is filthy.

Great experience in a family room

Family room was great. Comfortable. Nice room temperature. Breakfast has a lot of different choices. I liked pastries and plates of different cheeses. My daughter's liked the piano in the lobby. My wife loved the decoration

Everything was superb. Fabulous location, great restaurant and amazing staff. Thanks for a wonderful stay with our 2 dogs - they loved it as well.

Really good- great location, good quality hotel.

Brilliant location, just off the motorway and out of the city. Great room, we did go for the upgrade room, wonderfully dog friendly, staff were really helpful and friendly. Food was delicious and good value. Really enjoyed our stay.

No milk in the room - sure we could have got some but we were too tired to ask!

The place around, like nature, is beautiful. The bed was comfortable.

The room was absolutely dirty. At our towels, we had foot print marks, the floor was dirty, the bathroom too. And the room smells really strange. Bad smell.
