South Austin is trending in a major way as it's just 15 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from Lady Bird Lake and downtown Austin. The house is walking/biking distance to iconic spots, grocery stores, theaters and dining -- without the hassle of finding parking or battling much traffic. Tucked away behind the main house, the guesthouse cottage offers a big fenced in back yard area as well.

The blueberry cottage is located in Old Menchaca neighborhood in South Austin. The neighborhood is quiet, lovely and close to coffee shops and good food. Easy access to major freeways and downtown. The decor is cowboy chic and the room is spacious and comfy. Fully equipped kitchen with a new fridge with some extras like waters, plenty of TP, towels, etc. Friendly lab greeted us one morning. So sweet. Otherwise private and the only sound at night was a distant train rolling through Austin to put us to sleep. Host directed us to best local tacos and restaurants. Very helpful. Would recommend.

They were very accommodating for our dogs and have a very clean and lovely cottage for our stay this weekend. We would highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again in the future!

First place I’ve stayed that didn’t have coffee available for guests. The mattress was worn out 10 yrs ago. I literally slept on floor second night. Place was very clean and cozy other than mattress.
