Amaya River Side Homestay

The family is so nice and welcoming. I can't recommend this property enough. food is delicious and the rooms are spacious and comfortable

first time we did a home stay, it was wonderful. we had our own private area and terrace, but ate in the mine house. The breakfast and evening meals were lovely and we were made to feel most welcome. The hosts Poiyantha and Kumari went out of their way to sort out an excellent safari trip with their brother to Eco Reserve, where we saw lots of elephants.

We had an amazing stay. The host family has a fantastic hospitality. The owner is a prof chef. They made the best breakfast and dinner. We liked IT so much, that we stayed longer. They arrange anything for you. We had a great safari for good price. We learned about the kitchen through a kitchen lesson by the family. Did some extra sightseeings with the owner. We highly recommended Amaya rivier side. Our room is spacies, hot shower and even your own outside patio. You Will not regret and stay longer as we did. Enjoy! We Will we come back for sure. Beautiful location, awesome rooms and really, really nice and warm hosts. They served us with welcome drink, when we reached there, answered our queries and helped us with their local information. The owner of the Homestay is a Chef with around 9 years of experience. You can have authentic tasty Sri Lanka Food, there. They also have a Jeep for 7 people, which you can rent. Overall, we had a very good experience. I would definitely recommend this place.
